Newt Suggests Firing Liberal Federal Employees

I can't think of a question that this could answer that wouldn't be incredibly offensive to the democratic way of life.

Nor could I.

Oh c'mon. Over-dramatize much?

He was speaking to Conservatives. He was saying what they wanted to hear (how unusual for a politician!). He didn't say he WOULD FIRE Liberals.
You guys are like the Conservs who say Obama is going to fire all Conservs...

The implication here is obviously that he advocates for the destruction of political dissent.

Something that can ONLY be considered tyrannical in nature.

In fact, it's almost downright traitorous.

Nah. That's hyper-hysterics. The implication here is that he was pandering to his audience. And you expect politicians to do what, exactly???

“I think an intelligent conservative wants the right federal employees delivering the right services in a highly efficient way and then wants to get rid of those folks who are in fact wasteful, or those folks who are ideologically so far to the left, or those people who want to frankly dictate to the rest of us,” Gingrich said in response to a question from a federal employee at the forum…
Is this an example of Gingrich ‘brilliance’?

Otherwise he’s advocating Federal law be violated.
A report by the Justice Department’s internal investigators found that Bush administration officials discriminated against liberal employees in the Civil Rights Division and hired lawyers based on their conservative ideology.

Yet another of many, many good reasons why this Nation can’t suffer another republican administration.
He's out anyway so who cares?

Gingrich’s opinions are representative of many conservatives and republicans, as we see in this very thread.

Well, Newt sure worded that quite badly.

For him to not word it badly he’d need to use no words at all.

I expect us not to elect a pseudo-dictator.

Is that really so much to ask in America now?
