Muhammad, the greatest man (peace be upon him and his family)

I speak from the knowledge of the saints of Islam.

Each prophet, and there were 124 000 prophets was sent to his people, except Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), who was sent to the whole Creation. This means his mission was the hardest, of all the prophets; not Abraham, not Noah, not Moses, not Jesus, not any other prophet.

On top of that, he came out alone, saying O unbelievers, O infidels; which made absolutely everyone to be against him.

O Allah (O God) send blessings on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad.

If one were to consider the hellish unjust corrupt and barbaric condition of the many societies living under strict Islamic rule, courtesy of Mohammed and the family of Mohammed, it would seem that God isn't listening to your prayers.

Looks to me like God, instead of blessings, is sending you every single malediction promised for the ungodly....

Muhammad(peace be upon him and his family) was not a violent warrior. In the battles he took part in, the Muslims were largely outnumbered or the situation was heavily against him. He always managed to miraculously, somehow, achieved a great and stunning victory.

Muhammad was peaceful, saying, O people, be good ones, not evil ones, love people, love God, respect everyone, pray at night when others sleep, don't speak bad of others, tell the truth always and you shall enter Paradise safely.

The Myth:

Muhammad only Waged War in Self-Defense

The Truth:

The myth that warfare is only justified in Islam under the condition of self-defense is disproved by the account of the Battle of Badr, in which Muhammad sent his men out to raid caravans, then deliberately provoked a battle with the Meccan army sent out to defend them. The case for aggressive warfare is also supported by the fate of the three Jewish tribes of Medina, who were cleansed because they had rejected Muhammad’s claims of prophethood (and because the Muslims wanted their possessions).

Consider the fate of the Banu Mustaliq, an Arab tribe:

"The Prophet had suddenly attacked Bani Mustaliq without warning while they were heedless and their cattle were being watered at the places of water. Their fighting men were killed and their women and children were taken as captives"(Bukhari 46:717)

Although there are many reliable accounts from the Hadith and Sira that mention the Mustaliq grazing cattle, not one mentions Muhammad making any effort at peacemaking. In this case, Muhammad's men raped the women (with his approval) after slaughtering the men (Sahih Muslim 3371). What does raping a female captive have to do with self-defense?

In many situations, Muhammad waged war for the purpose of revenge, such as the attack on the Lihyan, in which the people were clearly not prepared for war and saved themselves only by fleeing into the hills (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 718). Muhammad also attacked the people of Taif as soon as he had the opportunity to avenge their rejection of him (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 280 & 872).

Also disproving the myth that Muhammad only fought in self-defense is the account of his first attack on the Christians. There was no compelling reason for him to send an army to Muta (in Syria, where they met with disaster at the hands of the Byzantines). Had this been a matter of self-defense, then the enemy would surely have followed the routed army back to Arabia, but this was not the case (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 791).

Near the end of his life, the prophet of Islam directed military campaigns for the mere purpose of spreading Islamic rule. He knew that some cities would resist and others would not. He left instructions to his people for dealing with each case:

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: If you come to a township (which has surrendered without a formal war) and stay therein, you have a share (that will be in the form of an award) in (the properties obtained from) it. If a township disobeys Allah and His Messenger (and actually fights against the Muslims) one-fifth of the booty seized therefrom is for Allah and His Apostle and the rest is for you. (Sahih Muslim 4346)
As can be seen, those who were not at war with the Muslims are to be subjugated anyway, and their property seized. The only distinguishing factor is the extent of Muslim entitlement following the victory.

Military campaigns to extend Islamic domination include the raid on Tabuk, which was a second incursion into the Christian territory of Syria, in which Muhammad forced the local populace to pay him tribute after ambushing and killing local civilians to assert his authority (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 903). Another example would be the “convert or die” mandate given to an Arab tribe, the Banu al-Harith:

Then the apostle sent Khalid bin Walid… to the Banu al-Harith and ordered him to invite them to Islam three days before he attacked them. If they accepted then he was to accept it from them, and if they declined he was to fight them. So Khalid set out and came to them, and sent out riders in all directions inviting the people to Islam, saying, “If you accept Islam you will be safe.” So the men accepted Islam as they were invited. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 959)
Obviously self-defense was not a factor in any of these cases (even though some Muslims are prone to embellish the record with imaginary details not found therein). As with the capture of Mecca in 630, these early Muslims had clear military superiority and the target of their aggression was in no position to defend itself.

In fact, the first part of the 9th Sura, the most bellicose chapter of the Qur’an, was revealed shortly after the Muslims had established military dominance in Mecca. Consider one of the more violent verses:

But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them (9:5)
The words, “when the forbidden months are past,” precludes the possibility that this was a matter of self-defense. The Muslims had already been given the divine right to fight during the sacred months, and it is simply implausible that they would have suffered attacks over a four month period without defending themselves. That they were not under attack is consistent with the historical context, in which the Haj period was a traditional time of peace and tolerance throughout Arabia.
Although not under attack from the pagans, Muhammad ordered his men to chase and kill the unbelievers following the Haj. The pagans who agreed to become Muslim (ie. practice the pillars of Islam, zakat and salat) would be allowed to live following their conversion. Verse9:29 offers a separate rule for Jews and Christians, allowing them to keep their religion as long as they pay protection money to Muslims and acknowledge the inferiority of their faith. Should they resist, then they should be killed.

One of the best documented examples of Muslim aggression during the lifetime of Muhammad is the attack on the peaceful community of Khaybar. This followed the treaty of Hudaibiya between the Muslims and Meccans, which called for a period of peace between the two groups. The treaty was controversial with Muslims, not only because it contradicted Allah’s prior mandate to “drive out” the Meccans with violent force (2:191), but also because Muhammad agreed not to be recognized as a prophet in the document (Muslim 4401).

Muhammad decided that it was prudent to attack the Jews at Khaybar in order to regain the respect of his people and placate their grumbling with military victory and (especially) the stolen wealth that followed. This is embarrassing to modern-day Muslim apologists, who try to justify the siege by imagining that the sleepy farming community, located about 100 miles outside of Medina, posed some sort of necessary threat.

Unfortunately for contemporary apologists, not only is there no supporting evidence that the Muslims were under attack by the Khaybar, there are at least three historical references thatflatly contradict any notion of self-defense on the part of Muhammad. The first is a description of the initial attack by Ibn Ishaq/Hisham:

We met the workers of Khaybar coming out in the morning with their spades and baskets. When they saw the apostle and the army they cried, “Muhammad with his force,” and turned tail and fled… The apostle seized the property piece by piece… (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 757)
The people of Khaybar were not attacking Muhammad. They were farming their land with shovels and buckets, not even knowing that they were supposed to be at war. This is further confirmed in the same text:

When the apostle raided a people he waited until the morning. If he heard a call to prayer he held back; if he did not hear it he attacked. We came to Khaybar by night, and the apostle passed the night there; and when morning came he did not hear the call to prayer, so he rode and we rode with him. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 757)
Muhammad attacked only after waiting to see if the people of Khaybar issued a morning call to prayer. This would have no possible relevance had they already been at war with him.

Perhaps the best proof that Muhammad was not acting in self-defense is the fact that his own people did not understand why they were marching to war. His son-in-law, who was in charge of the military expedition, had to ask for justification:

Allah's Messenger called Ali [and said]: “Proceed on and do not look about until Allah grants you victory,” and Ali went a bit and then halted and did not look about and then said in a loud voice: “Allah's Messenger, on what issue should I fight with the people?” Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: ”Fight with them until they bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger…” (Sahih Muslim 5917)
The question Ali posed would have been unnecessary had the Muslims been under attack by the Khaybar or if the answer to the question were obvious. As it is, Muhammad’s reply underscores the ostensible purpose of the campaign, which was to force the Jews into acknowledging the superiority of Islam.

Muhammad’s men easily captured Khaybar and divided up the loot. The prophet of Islam tortured the community’s treasurer to extract information, then had him killed (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 764). Muhammad then took the man’s widow, Saffiya, as his wife after trading two other captured women to one of his lieutenants (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 758). The surviving Jews were allowed to stay on their land provided that they gave their Muslim masters an ample share of their crops.

Therefore, the rule of aggression in Islam, from the example set by Muhammad, is that it is proportional to the power held by Muslims, and not the persecution that they are under. The rare verses of peace in the Qur'an were "revealed" in Mecca, when true oppression existed (insome cases). The verses of violence that are revealed later correspond to Muslim military might even as any persecution of Muslims had largely dried up.

Myth Muhammad only Waged War in Self-Defense Khaybar

Dear forumers,

Muslims are very proud of their religion. Even the westernized Muslims will praise their religions, though they are beardless. You people must have censed that Islam teaches the fighting spirit to one and you are impressed by it, approving, and in a resolve to fight you come against them telling them that their religion is about killing innocents or lying to spread the faith. We agree on one thing. Islam teaches men to be mentally strong and to have the personality of a fighter. If you like to rest or play about, this religion is not for you.

It does not make sense to say that Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) fought in self defense. Someone who takes war booty is not someone fighting in self defense. The Muslims waged war on the unbelievers, even when the enemy largely outnumbered them; and the circumstances often were against them. They were saying, O God, we are not afraid to give our lives for You, for Your pleasure. Whatever You order us to do, we will. Having such sincere men as his followers was a priviledge of Muhammad. Jesus did not have this priviledge. God assigned to him a different kind of mission.

How does someone say lies about Muhammad ? You are talking about the one who did the Night Journey, going to His Lord in and beyond the heavens and coming back to Mecca before the end of the night. Be a bit more serious.

Finally, the truth. you admit Muhammad was a thieving bandit. Now all you have to do is realize he was also a liar about God, and you can give up this sick religion.

You actually think Muhammad went to visit heaven on a flying horse, and you want 'us' to be more serious.

Muhammad(peace be upon him and his family) was not a violent warrior.

Muhammad (piss be upon him) was a warlord, he led an army which brutally murdered, pillaged, and raped their way across the Arabian peninsula. Muhammad was much like Genghis Khan in that he savagely slaughtered those before him, surrender was of no use, Muhammad and his Muslims would murder all the male captives, rape the women and take them as sex slaves, and sell the children as chattel,

The Arabian peninsula was fractured into warring tribes. The Warlord Muhammad would make alliance with factions and then attack their enemy. Once the enemy was defeated, Muhammad would betray his allies and attack them. Muhammad was a feckless and honor-less cur, a rabid dog who would turn on anyone. Rarely did Muhammad venture into battle without a clear advantage in numbers or position.

I speak from the knowledge of the saints of Islam and the traditional knowledge in Islam.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) was neither tall, neither short. He was of medium height. He would however appear taller than anyone who walked alongside him. His two front teeth were elegantly separated. His pure cheeks seemed to be covered with a golden liquid. He was neither white, nor dark, but in between. His hairs were not curly, not straight, but in between. His sweat had the fragance of amber and musk. His shoulders were wide, his wrists were long, his palms soft, his stomach thin and subtle. He is the most perfect of the human beings, both physically and morally.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) once said he was the master of the sons of Adam (the master of mankind) and that he was not saying it in boast.

After God gave him all kinds of perfections and made him divine, God added yet something, and then said: "Truly you are of a magnificent nature" (the Holy Qur'an, Surah 68, V 4)

This is the writing of Muhammad in Arabic, but turned to the vertical. You can see the human being.

The globe benefitted from the death of Muhammud (swish). What is unfortunate is that the fascistic ideology he spawned is still causing misery and despair across so much of the planet.

It is my belief that we pay karma for our actions and every reaction our actions cause. Therefore according to the theory of karma and reincarnation the soul of Muhammad is still responsible for all the actions of his followers. Every war and beheading in the world today is on his soul and he cannot even begin to pay for that.
He got one thing right in the Quran when he said lying about God is a terrible wrong

.
4.50 Behold! how they invent a lie against God! but that by itself is a manifest sin!

6.21 Who doth more wrong than he who inventeth a lie against God or rejecteth His signs? But verily the wrong-doers never shall prosper.

10.17 Who doth more wrong than such as forge a lie against God, or deny His Signs? But never will prosper those who sin.

11.18 Who doth more wrong than those who invent a life against God? They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of God is on those who do wrong! -

29.68 And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against God or rejects the Truth when it reaches him? Is there not a home in Hell for those who reject Faith?

39.32 Who, then, doth more wrong than one who utters a lie concerning God, and rejects the Truth when it comes to him; is there not in Hell an abode for blasphemers?

61.70 Who doth greater wrong than one who invents falsehood against God, even as he is being invited to Islam? And God guides not those who do wrong.

72.5 'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against God.

I speak from the knowledge of the saints of Islam.

The Muslims worldwide observe every year the Night of Power. They spent that night in worship of God, for it is a very blessed night. It is the night on which the Qur'an came down on earth, from God, to Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). It is believed by many to be the 27th of Ramadan (which is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar). God praised this night saying that every year, when this night comes, the angels and the Spirit come down on earth.

"The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand: Peace!...This until the rise of morn!"

(Surah 97, V 3-5)

But the night when Muhammad came down on earth, the night he was born is far more great than the night in which the angels and the Spirit come down on earth.

Hence, the Mawlid, which is the birthday of Muhammad is a more blessed night. Celebrating this night guarantees Paradise. I of course mean serious celebration, not celebrating today only to consume intoxicants the next day.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said:

1/ Grief is my companion
2/ my only grief is for the sake of my nation
(both statements being said in the same discourse)

The Companions say that when Muhammad was angry, it could be seen in his face. When he was pleased, it could also be pleased from his radiant face. Muhammad's body left no shadow and the flies used to avoid touching him. During his last illness, he could not come out to lead the Companions in prayer. So Abu Bakr (may God be well pleased with him) used to lead the prayers. Then on one occasion, as the Companions were about to start the prayer, Muhammad came out of his room, and he was looking at his Companions and he was smiling. It seemed he had recovered. The Companions said they almost came out of the prayer out of great joy.

A famous French poet, I thought it was Victor Hugo said about Muhammad: "less than a God, more than a man, a prophet".

I add: "the king of the most honored prophets, and the beloved of God Almighty."

O Allah (O God Almighty), send blessings on Muhammad and on his family and on his Companions and salute him.

Hard to quantify greatness. But if you invent a religion out of thin air you're well on your way. Of course if your religion says you can marry a girl any age you want and she's supposed to wanna have sex with you, you're equally likely to be thought of as great by those who like that kind of thing.

Most every religion extant today permits sex with what we now consider minors too young for sexual relations. Thus it's easy to see the appeal of some of these systems. With Islam, having unlimited or even just 4 wives, who may be children, and they have to wanna have sex with you shows the appeal to many. Christianity and Judaism's no better though allowing the same thing. And they did it long before Islam came along and ratified their thing.

I speak of the traditional knowledge in Islam. Those who seek knowledge are required to combine 6 qualities, one of which of softness. To be soft, soft as a cat.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) talked extensively of the Anti-Christ, who is on earth in the end times. The Hadiths (the sayings of Muhammad) mentions the lying Christ on countless occasions. Muhammad taught that nothing in history in more serious than the affair of the Anti-Christ. There is one man whom Muhammad prophesized he would resist the Anti-Christ, and the Anti-Christ would have him tortured greatly and finally killed. As the Anti-Christ throws that man in what appear to be Hell, it will actually be Paradise, but the people will see it as Hell. Muhammad concluded by saying that this man would be the greatest martyr of all martyrs.

There is not one prophet who did not warn about the Anti-Christ, and there have been 124 000 prophets, peace on them all.

The Anti-Christ is all these things you see in the world today, which people think is good but which is in reality quite bad, quite evil, quite distressful. Take for instance, the mercilessness of big companies, or the prevalence of drugs and alcohol.

Islam, the worship of an old moon god. Funny how the black moon rock was considered divine long before Muhammed came around by pagans, yet now it is the center of their warped universe.

Can one of you devout Muslims explain why five times a day you bow down a worship a moon rock again? And how this has absolutely no connection to the former pagan worship of the rock?

I am Muslim, and I speak from the traditional Islamic knowledge.

God Almighty sent 124 000 prophets on earth. They are honoured before God Almighty. Each one of them is a great king. The first to be a prophet was Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). The first prophet who came down on earth was Adam. The last one is Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). He is the Seal of the prophets. He is the last prophet and the best of them all. He is the king of the prophets, the king of all mankind, the king of all nations.

With him came holy and heavenly men, the Companions. After them came other holy and heavenly men the Successors. After these generations, other holy and heavenly men kept coming down on earth until today, in 2014. They are the saints of Islam.

Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is he who made the Night Journey. This is his most famous miracle. As such, everone knows of the holiness and the heavenliness of Muhammad. He was supreme in moral character and he is the beloved of God Almighty. Everything that exists in the universes, every person on this planet and every creature that exists was created in the name of Muhammad and for Muhammad. He is the master of both worlds, peace be upon him and his family.
No offense to the prophet Muhammad but what great things did he ever do? I mean everybody knows what Moses did. what Jesus did but what great things did Muhammad do? Enlighten this naive one
