It may seem improbable, but Joe Manchin might end up being nominated for President next year. It is becoming more and more evident that Biden will not be renominated and may not complete his first term. The Weekend With Bernie idea of Biden winning a second term has been discarded by all but the most insane never-Trumpers, and defending his record will not sell with the public.

Even potential nominees who are associated with Biden or his policies will be left with this albatross around their necks. The only practical option left will be to nominate some "independent moderate" who can pretend to bridge the gap between the "extreme left" and the "radical right." Joe Manchin would fill this role perfectly. He has been deceiving West Virginia voters for the last decade, but they have finally caught on to him. However, the rest of the country is still ripe for another Bill Clinton to run against his own party and charm the masses. What are his chances?

Well "Justice" is coming for Manchin so his Senate seat will be gone. I guess if he wants to continue on in DC that is the only viable option left to him unless he runs as a 3rd party spoiler and rake in some money before he bows-out.

I don't think he will have the option. It's just going to happen. Can't be long before he is clearly incapable.
A real potential mess there. Does someone jump over Harris? How would THAT go? Would there be a new veep? Does someone walk into the oval office and tell him he has to go?

We probably won't get a peek at any of it, dammit.

He would be a good idea, all things considered. The Dem base wouldn't like it. Whitmer would be better.

Some pretty quick freakin' decisions need to be made.

Nah. He's not as bad as Mitch is.

How about this guy?

Gavin Christopher Newsom (born October 10, 1967) is an American politician and businessman who has been the 40th governor of California since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party

Joseph Manchin III (/ˈmæntʃɪn/ MAN-chin; born August 24, 1947) is an American politician and businessman

We better check to see if they've ever done any business with a foreign country like Trump and Hunter. Neither of them should be POTUS because they've done business with China. What about Gavin or Joe?

Jared made $2 billion after that.

Here is a guy the DNC can use, albeit he has no idea who he is or where he is, but that's why the DNC gives them their handlers.

That's not even on the horizon, so don't get your hopes up.
