I told you this two months ago:

It may seem improbable, but Joe Manchin might end up being nominated for President next year. It is becoming more and more evident that Biden will not be renominated and may not complete his first term. The Weekend With Bernie idea of Biden winning a second term has been discarded by all but the most insane never-Trumpers, and defending his record will not sell with the public.

Even potential nominees who are associated with Biden or his policies will be left with this albatross around their necks. The only practical option left will be to nominate some "independent moderate" who can pretend to bridge the gap between the "extreme left" and the "radical right." Joe Manchin would fill this role perfectly. He has been deceiving West Virginia voters for the last decade, but they have finally caught on to him. However, the rest of the country is still ripe for another Bill Clinton to run against his own party and charm the masses.
Still have any questions?

Informed people saw this coming quite a while ago. Glad you are catching up. It may well come to nothing, but we are not to that cliff yet.
