Last year, she was convicted on misdemeanor charges after setting a fire that nearly torched her home with her three children inside. In a videotaped police interrogation, she told officers she set got into a confrontation with her boyfriend at the time - not Daye - and burned his clothes, smashed his car windshield and threatened to stab him.
Friends said Mangum has never recovered from the stigma brought by the lacrosse case and has been involved in a string of questionable relationships in an attempt to provide stability for her children. Vincent Clark, a friend who co-authored Mangum's self-published memoir, said he hopes people don't rush to judgment - echoing one of the oft-cited lessons of the lacrosse case itself.

As reprehensible as her actions were it was the DA Nifong who ignored exculpatory evidence and her own ever changing story to continue the prosecution of the Duke players. It is great he was disbarred and I hope the players clean him out in the civil trial.
It's a shame a person had to die for the rest of the planet to figure out what a worthless lump of flesh she is.

Everyone has a camera these days in a cell phone and I expect that the D.A. had some pretty incriminating evidence that remains secret because of the Grand Jury rules. He didn't count on the money and the political power that came down on him though.

IF and thats a if she is in a *lower/ differant * class to them she put herself there .no one made her be a black crack whore . she could have flipped hamburgers or worked in walmart if she choose .
A lot of women ,guys as well, do that kind of work and present a decent act for what they are paid for .... if they are good they get tips if not they don,t its as simple as that.
