Lucky to start off rich with wealthy parents

Oh, I thought you were taking about California Girl.

Childhood home of George W. Bush.

Mitt Romney's childhood home. 5,500 sq. feet. It's old here, but wasn't back when he was a little kid.

Paul Ryan's childhood home. He worked for a summer flipping burgers. But did he need to?

Obama's childhood home. A single window.

I used Google and found these pictures.

I was just watching this show and they were talking about these guys childhood homes and the difference in their backgrounds. The part when they showed the Ann Romney speech when she said she studied with a door on two sawhorses for a desk and an ironing board for a dinner table while they (her and Mitt) ate tuna and pasta was so unbelievable. It would make more sense to eat off the door on the two sawhorses. It would be the right height. Besides, would you iron where you ate tuna and pasta? Of course not, it's ridiculous. The entire story is about as believable as Ryan's 20 minute marathon. The Republican leadership must think we are really gullible to believe something so stupid.

Bush, Ryan, Romney, they don't get the middle class because they were never really a part of it. A 5,500 sq. ft. house? Really?

Romney: Borrow Money From Your Parents - YouTube

You can't tell other people you "did it alone" when you start off like this. I know right wingers will say, "Oh, you're just jealous" completely missing the point.

It's easy for the right to cut benefits for the elderly and the poor and the Middle Class when people like Romney and Ryan never have known what it means to be any of those things. And the next time they talk about their "struggle", we have a duty to cry out "Bullshit!"

There are a lot of people who have rich parents who don't accomplish anything other's start off poor and rise to success starting out in life poor does not mean you have to stay that way nor does starting off life rich guarantee you success it's up to the individual to determine that.

Libs: Where would you outlaw success? Would George Romney's earning have been capped at the poverty level? I know you would have imposed a 100% death tax like Obama 2 Dad's Frank Davis and whatever his name is wanted.

Tell us your fantasy Progressive tax code

My my so much anger and outrage from the left over the Romney family wealth of course the icons of the Democratic party the Kennedy's started off pretty well didn't they?
0130_kennedy-compound.jpg

The only difference between the Kennedy's and the Romney's being that the Kennedy's made THEIR fortune smuggling in scotch during prohibition and the Romney's actually worked for theirs.

See? I told ya the right wouldn't get it. They've been "pre-programmed".

It's a shame you guys are so pre-programmed to hate Republicans...
When you start posting homes of wealthy Democrats get back to us.
Otherwise you continue to be a hack.

I stepped out for a while but here you go Frank & Steph:

Teddy Roosevelt, “Socialist” Advocate of Progressive Taxation - Steven Waldman
“A heavy progressive tax upon a very large fortune is in no way such a tax upon thrift or industry as a like would be on a small fortune. No advantage comes either to the country as a whole or to the individuals inheriting the money by permitting the transmission in their entirety of the enormous fortunes which would be affected by such a tax; and as an incident to its function of revenue raising, such a tax would help to preserve a measurable equality of opportunity for the people of the generations growing to manhood.

holy shit, you BELIEVE THIS CRAP...sorry but we are NOT a communist country..YET
My gawd

Also, your initial post is misleading by labeling the first pic as GWB's childhood home. That is where he was born, and then when he was 2 years old, his parents moved to Midland, TX. Now go google those homes.:D

Oh, that was where he was "born", not his "childhood" home. I get it.:eusa_whistle:

The point seems to be missed by the right wing.

When your leaders say "no one helped them" but then they started out in these mansions, it only proves THEY DON'T GET IT. The cards were stacked FOR them. They had it made if they never worked.

Look at Bush, jumped over thousands to get into Harvard, not on "merit" but because of who his daddy knew.

Look at John McCain. Graduated 5th FROM THE BOTTOM out of a graduating class of 899 because his daddy and grand daddy were admirals.

These guys didn't do it alone.

Mitt Romney didn't do it alone.

Paul Ryan didn't do it alone.

The only one who is actually honest is Obama. He actually came from humble beginnings and he admits HE DIDN'T DO IT ALONE.

You guys have swallowed lies and swill and you are so indoctrinated and so full of hate, you can't even see it. You won't see it.

who helped the Obamas get rich?

The American public when they bought the two books he wrote?

Sarah Palin wrote a book all by herself. It's called "Going Rouge by Lynn Vincent".

Republican like to say someone else wrote Obama's because they can't believe a black guy can write. Funny from people who don't believe in science and think education is for snobs.

Of course we have a duty to cry bullshit. Your photos are bullshit. Ohhh poor obama and his log cabin. obama was actually raised in a Honolulu high rise apartment that was brand new when he his grandparents moved in. Not only could they afford a luxury apartment, but they lived there for 41 years. Which is appropriate for a bank vice president.

Obama's childhood home could become a national landmark - USATODAY.com

What is the relative value of a home in Janestown Wisconsin to a new high rise apartment in Honolulu?

Uh, Obama lived with his mother before he lived with his grand parents. He didn't live with them until he was ten.

And the average salary for a bank vice president starts at $50 thousand dollars. Hardly rolling in money.

PayScale - Bank Vice President (VP) Salary, Average Salaries

The problem with right wingers is they hate this guy so much. Really deep and mindless racist hate from their Confederate cores. They can't stand that the black guy worked hard and was successful when their leaders like Mitt and Paul and George and John had everything handed to them.

"Confederate cores"? Listen, douche...my great grandfather fought on the Union side in the Civil War as an officer in the 54th Massachusetts Infantry...a BLACK volunteer regiment commanded by white officers. He went to battle knowing that if he was captured by the enemy that he would be executed BECAUSE he led black troops! You can take your race card playing and shove it up your ignorant ass! The reason I don't think Barack Obama should be President is because I don't thing he's competent to do the job. His pigmentation has ZERO to do with that assessment.

Oddly enough, for all the wealth of the Kennedy's, they, after a time, broke with their political roots to gain perspective, and understand the context in which people are kept poor in this country. Even Ted, who lost his brothers, who could have said fuck America for all they cost my family, and who didn't need the job, worked tirelessly for the interests of the working people and the poor of this nation all of his adult life.

That is the difference between attitudes towards who and what liberals view as the TRUE "entitlement class" and people like the Kennedy's.

You can't sing Obama's praises because he hasn't helped the country. The big plan for liberals seems to be playing the race card and, of course, the ever-popular class envy card.

See? I told ya the right wouldn't get it. They've been "pre-programmed".

Pre programed to not give a fuck.

Jealousy is a bitch it appears

Understanding a difference in beginnings is not jealousy.

Take two kids.

One grows up with regular doctor and dental visits and consistent are, enough to eat, a nice neighborhood to ride his bike, not much traffic fumes to inhale, superior housing, superior schools, athletic, arts, and sciences programs, mentor ship programs with fortune five hundred executives and after school activities that put him on the fast track to the right prep schools and the ivy league colleges.

The other grows up in the bricks or the trailer parks of rural America. Say his parents do all the right things by him, to the best of their ability. He still doesn't get the dental religiously, as all dental insurance sucks huge sweaty balls, there is no safe place to ride a bike, if has even has a second-hand one, or even to play outside, the ecological factors aren't ideal (gasoline fumes or toxic waste from the paper plant or other industry free to pollute because the department of environmental protection has been downsized to keep their peskiness in check, and lead paint in the nursery walls because the office of housing inspections have as well), his schools aren't as well equipped, the mentor ship program, if there is one, is limited and manned by local businessmen with few connections, the after school activities are non-existent or poorly funded as well, and he has to work a full time job while attending college and go into debt for the academic attainment because his parents aren't able to pay for his college OR support him while he's there. Because of all of the above, if he, against all odds gains a masters degree, it won't get him as far as the boy above if HE stopped at a bachelors.

Now you tell me how our system is not already fixed to pick winners from the moneyed class and hobble the poor at the start of the rat race.

And somebody, anybody, please give a rational explanation as to how anyone who not only refuses to even see and consider these discrepancies in beginnings, support, health, and rewards for hard work IN SPITE OF IT ALL, and who further refuses to consider the infinitesimal investment to make any of it better to be worth the investment in OUR shared futures can, with a straight face, call themselves pro "life."
