First, Republicans didn't want the wall and voted to force Trump to not spend money on it the first year of his presidency. Luckily, Paul Ryan left and the next Congress didn't inject the same limitation into the Federal budget so Trump was finally able to get started. Republicans, at least the ones who run the party, want open borders as much as do the Democrats. They both want cheap labor. The Democrats, of course, don't even disguise that they want the border to get dishwashers, housekeepers, etc. At least the Republicans wanted them for skilled, better paying, trades like construction, etc.

Next, there's no such thing as a DACA citizen. And it doesn't matter if they pay taxes or not. In fact, most of t heir parents at least, if not the offspring as well, commit crimes every day they go to work. They work under the table or by using someone else's social security number. The only thing that would truly make an Impact and belong to reduce the massive Illegal Immigration would be to Impeach Biden when the GOP take over this fall for his violations of the Constitution, US law, and Oath of office.
