is it u.s. of america or u.s. of atheists?

Why anyone would want to associate their God, with the lying scum of a crew we have had in our gvt, is beyond me.....

Because America WAS a Christian nation and had much less of the lying scum that you mentioned because it was a Christian nation. But as the lying Godless and spineless scum slips in the door on both sides of the isle our nation will continue to take the steep nose dive that it is.

It used to be so much more Godly when blacks were slaves and women were property.

Best you can do is project, troll?

It's famously known worldwide as the United States of Assholes.

Really. I've been all over the world and such is not the case. Where have YOU been? The next fucking state from the one you were born in?

If you want some pussies' opinions to define who YOU are, feel free. I'll pass.

Name an atheist that has been elected to public office. A prominent office.

Well lets see... just off the top of my head, there's Senator Al Franken... Former Senator Paul Wellstone and former Minnesota Governor and former WWF Wrestler... Jesse Ventura; outside of Minnesota, there's Rep' Pete Stark and of course the inhouse Socialist Bernie Sanders.

But we should note that all humanists are in effect, atheists... and the Democratic Party is RIFE with humanists... and the full scope of the ideological left is humanist, being founded direclty upon Humanism.

Try again. Your relativist argument may work on a 3rd grader, but I made it bit further. No remarks were made against "spiritual tyranny." The US government is not allowed to promote a religion. Religion is NOT precluded in government.

Go play your word games with your peers in Romper Room, bitch.

Why is it some retards have to call others hicks? As is obvious by your post, I know plenty of "hicks" I would prefer the company of to you, and are a whole fucking lot smarter than you.

it takes more than a dishonest argument to score, maggot. When you get a real fucking argument, let me know. Until then, I'm of a mind to change your userID to "Dumberthanahick".

Apparently what it takes to "score" in your eyes is immature 3rd grade name calling. But wait, you passed the third grade, right? Cuz, you think no remarks were made about "spiritual tyranny" by the man considered to be the father of the constitution.

Well I hate to ever use wiki, but for someone who professes mastery of the third grade without a corresponding reading comprehension, I'm going to direct you straight to the quote:
James Madison - Wikiquote
And just in case you're too lazy to click on a link:
"During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What have been its fruits? More or less in all places, pride and indolence in the Clergy, ignorance and servility in the laity, in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution."
"What influence in fact have ecclesiastical establishments had on Civil Society? In some instances they have been seen to erect a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the Civil authority..." -James Madison

Perhaps they don't teach history till 5th grade in your school system, but I think you might wanna reconsider calling this a "dishonest argument", my fine undereducated hick. ;)

Nah ... what it takes is an honest argument. Yours is not. Questions?

You are a Christian hater with a dishonest argument. ANything else, punk city bitch?

You accuse me of name-calling when your UserID is an offense, jackass. Pull your head out of your ass for a minute and let some oxygen seep in, huh?

If you take offense so someone who is smarter than hicks, perhaps you should ask yourself why. ;)

As for my "argument", I just quoted directly from the source. Your response was not refutation of the facts, but... more name calling. Well done.

I don't hate Christians in the least - I just dislike ignorance. Hey, maybe I can make it an "honest argument" by using your methods: I'm right about that point cuz the bible says so.

here's some info on madison...
James Madison Jr. (more commonly known simply as "James Madison") was the fourth President of the United States.

James Madison was one of only two U.S. Presidents (along with Washington) who signed the U.S. Constitution. James Madison also served as a U.S. Representative in the First Federal Congress
(1789-1791).

James Madison was an Episcopalian.

James Madison attended St. John's Episcopal Church while he was President. Some sources classify Madison was a deist.

He was identified as an Episcopalian by the 1995 Information Please Almanac; A Worthy Company: Brief Lives of the Framers of the United States Constitution by M. E. Bradford; and the Library of Congress. Memoirs & Correspondence of Thomas Jefferson, IV, page 512 was cited as the source stating explicitly that Madison was a "theist." (Source: Ian Dorion, "Table of the Religious Affiliations of American Founders", 1997).

From: Robert G. Ferris (editor), Signers of the Constitution: Historic Places Commemorating the Signing of the Constitution, published by the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service: Washington, D.C. (revised edition 1976), pages 189-193:

A brillian political philosopher and pragmatic politician who dominated the Constitutional Convention, Madison has deservedly won the epithet "Father of the Constitution."

...He received his early education from his mother, from tutors, and at a private school. ...in 1771 he graduated from the College of New Jersey (later Princeton), where he demonstrated special interest in government and the law. But, considering the ministry for a career, he stayed on for a year of postgraduate study in theology.

Back at Montpelier, still undecided on a profession, Madison soon embraced the patriot cause, and State and local politics absorbed much of his time...

Although a slaveholder all his life, he was active during his later years in the American Colonization Society, whose mission was the resettlement of slaves in Africa.
