Muslim societies are backwards and oppressive. Jews, while not perfect, have generally been a civilizing influence on the world.

dilloduck said:I realize that this is a personal prefrence yet what is the wisdom of American foreign relations "choosing" one side or the other? Being so quick to defend Israel has put us in the line of fire. It would appear the me that a more balanced approach would serve the countries' interersts better.
Comrade said:Because its the right thing to do, that's why. Do you think that we've been punished by Arabs for supporting the Jews yet? From who? Not Bin-Laden.
And unlike Europe we're not just going to leave them to the slaughter because we might catch some crossfire, that for snivelling cowards like Spain. When the Pals make a threat against us about this we'll know they've gone truly insane.
As for fencewalking we dole out 2 billion to Egypt and another billion to Jordan and Lebanon since 1975 or so, and also another 3 Billion to Isreal. Thank Carter for that plan. They all like money more than war and that's why no war has come, because America bribes the major players. We may lean to Israel but nobody but America has guarateed the peace among them for so long. That's a balanced approach.
dilloduck said:I'm just not sure that being blackmailed for peace is the only way to deal with this mess. For one thing--there will be no slaughter of the Israelis--they are fuly capable of defending themselves now. I was thinking more in terms of cutting everyones allowance in the ME and pressuring the Saudis to do the same !

The U.S. and Israel are alone in our fight against the Eurosocialist/Arab Fundy coalition. I think it's really best if we work together. Judeo-Christian isn't one of the most popular hyphenated words for nothing. Don't let the fact that AJ is a jerk sometimes color your views.

dilloduck said:Sorry RWA---the US already has that job. We just do it underneath the table so it will appear that we are "neutral".
rtwngAvngr said:And we do it overtly through our alliance with Israel. Is it a secret that a world war is on?
ajwps said:There is nothing overt about Israel's alliance with the United States.
The world war between the Western world and Islamic terrorism is being waged on many levels. The alliance between the US and Israel is very covert and is not reported in the world media. The seeming dispute between the US and Israel over 'disengagement' is a great cover for both countries working hand in hand towards the same goal.
rtwngAvngr said:I think it's a little more obvious than you think. But who cares? We're allowed to have allies.

please don't call me anti-american or something like that, but I mean Pakistan has already had a female president, but US with its equal rights for all still hasn't gotten a female president...
secondly, who invented algebra, geometry, the astrolabe and perfected the compass, without these columbus wouldn't have been able to find america, muslims are the founders of trignometry, one second i am just copying from an american university, the numbers we use, why are they called Arabian numerals, because the arabs got it from the Indians and gave it to the western world, the first person to find out about the circulation of blood was a muslim in 943, so many advances in medicine, math, astronomy, and you all them backwards and oppressive..
you can't generalize muslim society based on the actions of a bunch of idiots and i am not a muslim, i just want to be equal, i mean if you listened even one minute to the teachers in school, well to be truthful i didn't, you would know about the contributions of muslim society to this world, are there any teachers here??

freeandfun1 said:that is such an ignorant statement. so you judge a nations "advancement" by whether or not they have had a woman President? Geeze.
Backwards = living in caves, imposing Shria Law, riding donkeys to work, having Madrasas as your school system, blowing each other up, etc., etc.
You are either very, very young, or just IGNORANT as hell.
ld_avid said:lol..i don't know where you get this stuff, first of all i don't where you got the "riding donkeys to work" thing, you probably saw a video of asians riding donkeys and thought all muslims ride donkeys...this is especially hilarious to me, cause 3 days ago, i saw a Bentley going to what i am assuming, work, let me think what the difference between a donkey and Bentley is, maybe it is the cost..
and the living in the caves stuff, my parents are doctors and i can guarantee you they don't live in caves.. lol, where do you seriously get this stuff..
the madrasas stuff, there are religious schools, but there are also secular schools that many children attend that are just like the regular US schools, maybe one difference would be that no one does drugs in the schools..
Muslims don't blow each other up, but that sounds awfully similar to the Oklahoma bombing to me...
I guess what i am saying, don't generalize about the muslim society based on the actions of a bunch of idiots..
