How does a Republican with this record, get the support of the GOP

Serious question for those who support Trump. Please, all of you who lean left, There's a question for you at the bottom. Please answer the questions according to the party/politician you identify with.
Trumps record.

1. Unconstitutional bump stock ban
2. Unconstitutional FISA 702 reauthorization. (warrantless spying on Americans)
3. Unconstitutional Patriot Act reauthorization.
4 Funded gender studies in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
5. The Platinum Plan, where he gave $500 Billion (with a B) to black communities.
6. 2 debt ceiling increases and a 2 year suspension, without demanding spending cuts.
7. A miniscule tax cut that also eliminated so many tax deductions, that it was practically revenue neutral to the government.
8. The $8 trillion he spent that helped to create the HUGE inflation bubble under Biden.
9. Forced us all to pay for his operation warp speed. And once Covid started killing so many, he didn't once even try to stop the lock downs, school closing or any of that. Even said that Kemp was opening up his state too soon.

There's more. But you get the point, right? How in gods name, how does a Republican with that kind of record get to be the front runner by such a huge margin, in the GOP?
If Biden had some those things everyone on the right would be screaming their heads off. But the only ones who seem to object to Trump doing these things, are us fiscal and constitutional conservative.

And a question for the left. Why aren't you trying to recruit Trump? He gave you 10X more than Hillary would've. I dare say no other GOP president would've assaulted the 2A like Trump. The GOP would've blocked any attempt she made to ban bump stocks. She wouldn't have been able to give the blacks all that money. Despite what the democrat leaders and the media says about Trump, he was the best president the left could've asked for.
Despite the absurdity of your question, I'll give a short answer. A complete answer would be much longer. The left doesn't try recruiting trump because he is so eratic and untrustworthy. Any thing that he might have done that was less offensive to liberals was just coincidental to his only goal of self agrandization. He does nothing for anybody, no matter which party, other than for himself.

That's a perfect encapsulation of the "leadership" of your party of overdressed goons.

All great points.

On the bump stock ban, interestingly, the 5th circuit overturned the ban, and Trump appointed at least six judges to the 5th, all who voted to overturn. Three judges appointed by Clinton and Obama dissented.

I am skeptical of point 4 - gender studies in Pakistan - for many reasons:
Did it really happen under Trump?
Did Trump know about this and approve?
Was it really gender studies, or was it about women's rights in a country where women are oppressed?

I do think Trump's COVID policies (too draconian) and the associated massive spending were major blunders on his part. He should have stuck with his instincts not to shutdown, but the media was calling him a murderer and Fauci won with his larger appeal, despite his faulty "science."

Still, his many successes far outweigh these massive mistakes, and he was the best president this century by far.

Most people, myself included, fared much better under Trump than Obama or Biden.

Trump was not my first choice in the 2016 GOP primary, but he exceeded my expectations by far, so I happily voted for him again in 2020.

Of the current GOP candidates, Trump is currently my first choice, because he has proven his capabilities, and boy will it be fun to watch him unleashed in his second term. :)

Is that an argument?

None the less, it was the judges who overturned Trumps unconstitutional ban. It almost seems like you're trying to give Trump credit for the ban getting overturned. Had Trump been constitutional and supported the 2A in the first place there wouldn't have been anything to overturn.

It did happen under Trump and he did approve it when he signed the appropriations bill that included funding of gender studies in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It doesn't really matter what they were giving money for. It wasn't Americans doing the studies. The money went to them over there. They'll label something with a title that sounds good, but the money rarely ends up for anything close to what the title makes it out to be.
Like the "Patriot Act." There's nothing patriotic about it.

There was hundreds of billions of waste and fraud built into that covid money. And when Trump signed off on it, he didn't ensure safe guards for waste and fraud. Pelosi told him to sign, and he signed.
Still, his many successes far outweigh these massive mistakes, and he was the best president this century by far.

I've see that list of 200 successes. And 90% of them are just reworded sentences. There's like 10 in a row talking about his job creation. Most of his accomplishments weren't actually HIS accomplishments. Many weren't actual accomplishment.

Trump also had very little to do with the economy in his first two years. The economy was in the recovery stage when he took office. The economy itself goes through boom and bust cycles. Regardless of who's president. In fact, the president has very little to do with the economy, because of the way it's structured. The government can only make it worse by injecting new money in it. The economy rebounds because of us, the actual job creators, the consumers and the builders. They screw it up by injecting trillions of new money into it. That causes inflation. And we suffer until we've finally adjusted to it. This is when the economy rebounds.
After Biden is done with his spending spree, we'll adjust and it'll hit another economic boom cycle. But the recovery won't be his doing. It'll be ours. None the less, he'll probably get the credit for fixing it, just as Trump did.
Gas was dirt cheap because Russia and the Saudi's were in an oil price war. They were flooding the market.

This is kind of my point about this thread. All of these things are so easy to research and find the truth. But people get their talking points and misinformation from all these bias sources. And if it matches what they want to believe, they'll go with it.

"What is the cost of lies? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we hear enough lies, then we no longer recognize the truth at all. What can we do then? What else is left but to abandon even the hope of truth and content ourselves instead with stories? In these stories, it doesn't matter who the heroes are. All we want to know is: "Who is to blame?"

The story is lacking way to much information... there are always going to be cases of presidents doing things that seem to go against his stated agenda and ideology... we don't know why these things occurred during his term... some or much I would argue stems from the Obama presidency and others may have been in congressional bills that he signed....
remember we had a democrat house....
The one correction Trump needs to make is to never listen to Graham ever again.....
But compare Trump to Biden and there is no way Biden is a better choice....

This is why I listed important things that occurred under Trump & by Trump.

There's a LOT of people that Trump shouldn't listen to. But the fact remains, he still listens to them. He still buddies up with them.
Like how in TH do you bash John Bolton, and then hire him? I know he fired him, eventually. He fired him for the same reasons he bashed him before. It's one thing to hire a plumbers helper that's screwed up before. It's just plumbing. But to hire someone at that level, knowing they've got a horrible record like Bolton? That's just stupidity. The same goes for Graham, McCarthy and that RNC chairman. (Mitt Romney's niece). You stay miles away from those kind of people, unless you're trying to be part of the swamp. In the big picture, Trump wasn't trying to drain the swamp. He was trying to lead the swamp.

You forgot about those tariffs and how great they worked out for consumers.

I understand Trumps point about that. And don't give him too much flack. Making Chinese products cost as much as American would give an incentive for an American company to open up and start producing those same things that China was making, and we weren't.
Where I fault Trump was for approaching that problem from the wrong angle.

Regardless of what our politicians, the Fed and the media says, the Chinese currency is much better off than our own. The proof is the fact that $20K in most of China is a middle class wage. Here it's a poverty wage. So regardless of the BS lies they feed us about how much better our USD is over the Yuan, their citizens can still buy more for a lot less than we can.

Trump should've approached this from a perspective of actually repairing our USD value. This used to to be the job of our Federal Reserve. It's what they did, all the way up until Reagan came along. With all the new money Reagan injected into the economy, and the lowering of the interest rates, inflation went through the roof. So the Fed and the government started giving false information about the value of the USD and inflation rates. They over inflated the value of the USD to make it seem like everything was fine. But in all actuality, the USD has lost about 80% of it's buying power since 1980.
Carters administration seemed like dud. But had the country been able to withstand a few more years of high interest rates and fuel prices, the economy would've rebounded. And we'd be better off or it today. We wouldn't have such a huge trade deficit with China right now, because manufacturers would still be able to produce things here. We'd be making cell phones, a lot more computers, computer systems, gaming consoles, furniture, clothing and all those things that we don't make here anymore.

But the politicians like Trump, would rather continue down this path. And now we're $33 trillion in debt and the government is living off of credit cards. (Federal Reserve)

You're joking right?
The Platinum Plan.
All that covid money
Funded Ukraine
Signed all but one appropriations bill that Pelosi handed him.
He caved on DACA.
The only thing he really fought Pelosi on was immigration. And even the left is started to understand that now. Trumps stance on immigration, not that long ago, used to be the same as the lefts, because it helped to prevent illegals from taking American jobs. This was back when the democrat party at least pretended to support American jobs.

Erratic? This is what happens when you do something for someone, and they still oppose you. Like Trumps healthcare plan. It was Obamacare on Steroids. And the left still opposed it.

The left and the right have completely stopped caring about the issues and are 100% behind opposing anything the other party comes up with. As a fiscal & constitutional conservative, I oppose Trump for those issues. The left opposes everything Trump does, just because he's Trump and he's a Republican.
That's retarded.

Trump and Stephen Miller are a package deal. Dems would never accept that.

Trump would get the left to accept Miller or anyone. He's convinced Republicans that a 6 week abortion ban is terrible. And that giving black folks $500 billion is not socialism.
The left can be conned just as easily as the right. They thought Biden was serious when he said he was going to end fossil fuels in America. LMAO....... Even those on the right believed him.

Biden knows there will still be gas powered cars 15 years from now. But he also knows he can pull the wool over voters from his own party.

He pulled the wool over both sides. Republicans are screaming "Biden's going to end fossil fuels" like it's the sky falling.
They haven't seen how many environmental law suits that have been filed against the Biden administration.

All those oil leases that Biden halted, that weren't being used, and no plans of being used within the next decade..... When Biden opened them back up, he was sued. During that span when they were opened (and are now open again) are still not being used. And won't be.
But don't tell that to those on the right. Because they won't believe it. Because they don't want to believe it.

Joe Biden
stated on March 8, 2022 in a speech:
The oil industry has "9,000 permits to drill now. They could be drilling right now, yesterday, last week, last year."

Politics is insane now a days.

Nah, just pointing out that one of Trump's many accomplishments was appointing lots of Conservative judges.

I guess he was supposed to veto the appropriations bill because of that. :) There were much better reasons to veto it. He indeed shares blame with Congress. They sent us all money they printed. It was ridiculous.

I have my own list. [Link]
I think they are wonderful accomplishments.

Despite all that and whether we agree or disagree on any of these issues, I lived through the Trump Admin and several others. They were great times. That was my personal experience, and lots of people seem to agree.

Regards,
Jim

For anyone else to sing.

Did you ever hear of moving to the middle so you can carve off votes from the other side? Joe the dumbass Biden was supposed to do that, but all he had to do was sit in his basement while the biggest election fraud in history happened in 2020. The Don wont let that happen again. Here is is new motto.

He is an extremist who thinks that everyone will join him.
