Their family savings and livelihoods are intact because of health insurance.

I once knew a couple who buried their daughter who died from lung cancer. No one in their family smoked so they blamed an uncle who smoked (rarely around the girl). The uncle took it hard. I put a radon test kit in the dead daughters home (her bedroom was in the basement). The test came out at an incredibly high level.

But who tests for radon when there's so much anecdotal evidence that non smokers die of lung cancer due to the dreaded second hand smoke?

Actually I'm having fun laughing at your life style. I play my life by my rules and enjoy every single day without going to work except when I visit my business.
The only items that bothers me is when its too hot ( 120° ) right now in Palm Spring that I cannot go out and play golf behind my house but I'm here in La Jolla San Diego. And in Key B....... are those sea gulls and pelicans shitting in my backyards and my boat. Those are the only items that bothers me in my daily routines....

I buried my friend last month because of secondhand smoke. I also know couple of people that died of cancers. They are extremely very healthy and fit no fat, no drugs, organic food, no beer belly, water, don't smoke, vegetarians, casual drink, athletic, exercise, no donut, no history of cancer. Died of bone cancer and pancreatic cancer.
Their family savings and livelihoods are intact because of health insurance.
You are 51 now......... There is now way you can guarantee that 5 to 10 years you will not get sick of lung cancer. People don't really care about your health but we the taxpayers will be paying for your Medicaid or Medicare or disability insurance. That's the sad part.

When we speak of bars, alchohol is fair game. When you're old enough you may have a drink or two.

I test buildings for environmental issues, asbestos, mold and radon are the most common as a part of my job, so no, I don't sell the tests. For my freinds I will often supply the test kits at cost. I make no profit from the tests or required repairs.

I put a radon test kit in the dead daughters home (her bedroom was in the basement). The test came out at an incredibly high level.

But who tests for radon when there's so much anecdotal evidence that non smokers die of lung cancer due to the dreaded second hand smoke?

Dude, I'm not a mold maker. The loads indicated by those studies do not indicate large enough doses to have negative effects. Unless of course you sit in a sealed room with 1000 smokers 24/7.

When we speak of bars, alchohol is fair game. When you're old enough you may have a drink or two.

I test buildings for environmental issues, asbestos, mold and radon are the most common as a part of my job, so no, I don't sell the tests. For my freinds I will often supply the test kits at cost. I make no profit from the tests or required repairs.
