Florence might be worse than Harvey!

So Florence just made landfall but has stalled on the coast. Forecasters now worry it may dump more rain than Harvey.

Hurricane Florence weather latest: Florence could be WORSE than Hurricane Harvey

So what is this......:wtf:.....wind steering patterns as with Harvey OR climate change?

It is normally called weather.

This is the same hurricane that the Washington Compost said was going to be around Category 4 at 140 when making landfall, instead it was a Category 1 at 90 mph making small waves and storm surge. It will be a very wet one for sure which isn't surprising as it is a Hurricane...…

Warmist stupidity is vivid in this leftist rag:

Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.

Yeah riiight, when there were far more powerful hurricanes go through that area in the past, can they blame Trump for Hugo (1989) or Fran (1996)?

Snicker...…….

Meanwhile it is still moving to the w/sw at 6 mph, now down to 85 mph according to the NOAA:

9:00 AM EDT Fri Sep 14
Location: 34.0°N 78.0°W
Moving: WSW at 6 mph
Min pressure: 958 mb
Max sustained: 85 mph

We are getting some wind but no real rain yet. Am further inland so should be later today/tonight before the rain comes. The estimates vary wildly right now so may be a couple inches. May be 10 inches. Over 36 hours or so, 10 inches is really nothing to be alarmed about. it usually comes in bands off these things. So lots of drizzle and occasional intense rain rinse and repeat. Got 6 inches off one last year and hardly even noticed.

Every cable news channel hyped this to the max. I remember how they were all predicting when it dropped to a Cat3 that it will get back up to a 4 before it makes landfall and how huge the storm surge will be.
And after it got there and wind speeds fizzled out they had reporters dramatically leaning into the wind or hanging on to lamp posts while the branches on trees behind them barely wiggled.

So you are saying that the utter stupidity of local officials had nothing to do with the number of deaths during and after H-Maria? They knew well in advance that it was coming and after it was over people who needed food and medical supplies could not get them:
Puerto Rico aid is trapped in thousands of shipping containers - CNN
Puerto Rico aid is trapped in thousands of shipping containers
By Patrick Gillespie, Rafael Romo and Maria Santana, CNN
Anywhere else local officials have been telling people to evacuate before the storm hits and be in places where they can get what they need to survive.

Really are you going to try ignoring what America did for the ungrateful jack asses who incompetently run PR?

US military sends ships, aircraft to Puerto Rico

That was 9/26/2017 one week after the Hurricane hit.

Navy Continues to Provide Medical Relief to Puerto Rico Following Hurricane Maria

That was 10/26/2017

"Poor communications between local providers, civilian medical officials in charge of evaluating medical needs, and the military were cited as a possible cause for health clinics and hospitals on the island being at capacity while 13 percent of Comfort’s beds were occupied. A CNN story reported Tuesday only 33 of the hospital ship’s 250 beds were being used, as the ship operates in the vicinity of San Juan."

The incompetent civilian government still flailing around about SIX WEEKS after the Hurricane leaves. Its not that big a place yet despite American vessels and helicopter milling around ready to help the local government pricks can't develop a simple communication plan to work with American military which are loaded with communication capabilities.

Meanwhile back in late September 2017, there were 4,000 shipping containers sitting at the PR port full of food, water, medicine and construction materials.

In Puerto Rico, Containers Full Of Goods Sit Undistributed At Ports

America and others from outside did a lot for FREE and in good time of about 7-10 days after the devastation, but get the whining shit in return...…………..

Go kindly FUCK OFF, Lin-Manuel Miranda!

Having a bad evening yesterday were ya? :)

Of course you can find links about what the military and FEMA were attempting that makes it look like they were trying. For every one of those, there are ten others about a failed, feeble, half-ass effort it was.

And of course Captain Chaos .. instead of focusing on the task at hand, chose rather to engage in a Twitter war with the Mayor of San Juan.

Sorry, but Trump simply didn't care about those brown people and it was more obvious then than ever. And that includes all the "infestation of rapists and murderers - they're all M-13, etc etc etc" rhetoric. Word is, someone had to whisper in his ear that they are AMERICANS. I guess that fake military schools for rich kids don't teach that.

Lin-Manuel is correct - Trump has a lot of blood on his hands.

Wow you are ignoring hard evidence of early response, that has continues to this day. Here are more evidence you will ignore since you posted ZERO counterpoints to my links in the comment above yours. Now more evidence you will downplay since you are a confirmed Trump hater:

FEMA's largest relief effort in history and you just whine, what hater you are!

Six Months After Maria: Progress Made, Work Continues

"The Response

Local first responders, the government of Puerto Rico, FEMA, the Department of Defense, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and many other agencies and volunteer groups spent months delivering water, food, first aid and other life-saving and life-sustaining supplies to fellow Americans across the island.

  • Thousands of federal employees came to Puerto Rico to help address one of the most logistically challenging natural disasters in modern U.S. history.
    • At its peak, more than 19,000 federal personnel and military service members from 80 federal agencies deployed to the island.
    • To supplement staffing for the historic response, FEMA activated its surge capacity force. More than 640 employees from other federal agencies temporarily left their jobs in the U.S. to support the Puerto Rico response.
  • Showing their commitment to service, FEMA’s response effort in Puerto Rico became the largest and longest commodity delivery mission in the agency’s history. Commodities were delivered by air, off-road vehicles and even on foot.
    • More than 63 million meals and snacks were provided to Puerto Rico. The number represents nearly half of the 138 million total meals provided during the historic 2017 hurricane season.
    • More than 72 million liters of bottled water and nearly 17 million gallons of potable water were distributed.
  • More than 4,500 flights flown to date, making it the longest and largest sustained domestic air mission of food and water in U.S. history.
  • Countless additional commodities and comfort were also provided through non-profit organizations, private companies, neighbors and volunteers from across the country.
  • In one of the largest medical response missions ever, more than 4,700 medical personnel deployed and cared for more than 38,000 survivors.
  • Addressing the needs of Puerto Rico and its 78 municipalities, more than 150 staff from 15 federal agencies worked side by side with local officials on the ground – FEMA’s largest ever intergovernmental affairs mission. Additionally, all 78 mayors were provided satellite phones to communicate with the Puerto Rico Emergency Management Agency and FEMA. This had never been done before.
  • Less than a month after Maria hit, more than 60 non-governmental organizations and government partners were on the ground assisting disaster survivors.
  • USACE has installed more than 1,843 generators, making it the largest disaster generator mission in U.S. history. More than 4,200 power line workers are in the field, repairing transmission and distribution lines to restore power to the island. Less than 10 percent of the island remains without power.
  • All 68 hospitals are open. FEMA is working closely with the Puerto Rico Department of Health and HHS to provide temporary facilities while any remaining damaged health clinics are repaired and rebuilt.
  • To date, FEMA has hired more than 1,500 Puerto Rico residents, the majority of whom are disaster survivors themselves.

Even now all the mayor of San Juan and the other local officials are doing is race-baiting Trump on Twitter instead of building storm shelters which should have been built a long time ago. What alternatives other than being sitting ducks did the general population of a small Island have ?...still don`t and never will get because the local authorities blame it all on Trump instead of doing what they should have been doing all along. Military engineers should go there and blow up the facilities where these bastards were riding out H-Maria in comfort so that they are forced to endure what the people who they govern have to endure when the next storm hits. That`s probably the only way to force them to do the job they should have been doing all along.

Not yet, but he does have a lot of emails in his hands which might cause a blood bath in Dem-territory once they get published un-redacted.

Meanwhile Florence the darling of leftists everywhere ended up being a minor Category Hurricane on landfall that became a Tropical Storm in just 12 hours and now on the edge of becoming a Tropical Depression within 24 hours. It is a rainmaker that moves slowly but not a threat anymore.

There were a number of much more powerful Hurricanes that made landfall that were much more damaging than this Florence child, yet warmists everywhere will ignore that to play up the typical damage level of a Category one that quickly degraded to a TS, it is their silliness that destroys their credibility every day.

And the better prepared area is suffering far less damage than expected.... Drainage is keeping up but there was still some flooding....

What are they going to lie about next?
