Michael Brown's stepdad investigated for comments

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Police are investigating Michael Brown's stepfather for angry comments on the streets of Ferguson after a grand jury decided not to indict the police officer who fatally shot his stepson, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Officials want to talk to Louis Head about his comments as part of a broader investigation into the arson, vandalism and looting that followed the Nov. 24 grand jury announcement, St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman said. Twelve commercial buildings were destroyed by fire.

Brown, 18, who was black and unarmed, was killed Aug. 9 by Darren Wilson, who is white. Wilson, who resigned from the Ferguson department last weekend, had told the grand jury his life was being threatened, but some witnesses said Brown was trying to surrender.

Video widely circulated after last week's grand jury announcement shows Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden, on top of a car and breaking down as the decision blares over a stereo. Head, her husband, comforts her then yells angry comments, including "Burn this bitch down!"

Ferguson police investigating Michael Brown's stepdad for inciting a riot

Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson told Sean Hannity last night that everyone involved in the vandalizing and looting that followed the grand jury's decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson will be brought to justice — including Michael Brown's stepfather, Louis Head.

Head could be held responsible for inciting a riot, Mediaite reports, after footage of him screaming "Burn this motherf--ker down! Burn this bitch down!" aired on CNN in the wake of the grand jury decision. When asked about the remarks, Jackson responded that the police department is pursuing the comments. Well, there were certainly many witnesses to this! He can't claim he didn't yell it. He did loud and often and it got the crowd reacting, that's for sure!

Good for them, the STATES needs to step up and take control out of the hands of Holder, Sharpton and Obama. The state should sue those three while they're at it.

they've cause a lot damage and harm to innocent people in Fergurson.

His step dad was right there at the right time for all of the protesters to hear his command, "Burn them down!" (I won't use his exact words, you all know what he said. He was angry alright. It was time to show what they can do when they are angry. But they were going against the shop owners in Fergusen. What did those shop owners do to them?

That's going absolutely nowhere; unless they want a new round of violence and rioting. The police and prosecutors nor the Feds want that - the Feds for reasons of their own; that being to point out bad behavior in the black community would be counter productive to their aims.

Also it would be impossible find or prove a direct lone of cause and effect between his outburst and the destruction that followed.

Funny how democrat politicians try to become invisible during a crisis that calls for leadership. Where is Eric Holder and Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon?

The prosecutor wouldn't have to prove that his actions caused anything.

You people need to start educating yourselves on topics before you post.

All that has to be proven is that he intended for his words to cause a riot and that his words were likely to cause a riot.

Anyone with a brain can see two things.

1. He certainly intended to cause a riot
2. The crowd was likely swayed by the pseudo boyfriend of Brown's mother.

The DA wouldn't have to prove that anyone actually said "hell yeah he said burn it down, let's burn it down" they would merely have to prove that that was a likely result.

The lack of indictment of Wilson is what caused the riot. Unless there is some credible evidence that the man willfully set out to incite a riot, this should go no where.

Michael Brown started the whole thing with his thug actions.

My opinion reflects a statement made by the Missouri Attorney General made on Fox News today and in which he retracted an earlier call for prosecution with the words: "on more mature consideration I believe that that could not succeed and would not be the best course to follow"

BTW, how old are you anyway?

If a muslim from Bagdad came here...angry that our Army killed his loved one, justly or not, and he encouraged a horde of muslims to burn a US city....and they did it....WOULD WE CHARGE HIM?

YES.

Charge him

Not much to investigate, he's on tape inciting a riot. Not like these parents were model citizens or anything, they raised a thug for a son.

Huh? They have him on video and then the fires erupted. A retarded deaf dumb and blind lawyer could convict him. As far as not prosecuting the law out of fear, I can't agree, that isn't how it works. Nor should it.

Sounds like he's running for office. How old are you?

He acted and dressed like he belonged in a hip-hop video. I was expecting him to pull out his 9mm and start busting caps.

This falls under prosecutorial discretion.
