Americans have been paranoid about global securities since 9/11, and Homeland Security works to ensure that American institutions such as Duke University are safe from the modern emerged threat of anti-civilization terrorism...and general madness.

This patriotic yarn was inspired by The Last Boy Scout.

Cheers,

Americans celebrated the iconic Duke University Blue Devils men's college basketball team (NCAAB) which had won a whopping 5 national titles (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015) and countless ACC titles, all under the legendary guidance of the wise Coach K. Duke was also a highly-respected American university which boasted a terrific law school and other fine academic programs/departments and was consistently ranked as one of the top 10 schools in the nation. After 9/11, Americans became paranoid about kinds of social institutions/monuments were safe from the emerged threat of anti-civilization terrorism. The Trump Administration encouraged Homeland Security to oversee the fortification of various American institutions such as the Duke campus, the Seattle Space Needle, and the Salk Institute. That's why Duke became an interest for two civilization 'diplomats.'

These two 'diplomats' were an idealistic Internet-blogging Ivy League professor named Ajay Satan and the Hindu deity of meditation and destruction named Shiva. Ajay and Shiva both followed the Duke Blue Devils on TV and enjoyed cheering for them as they accrued their honors/achievements over the years. Ajay and Shiva were also big big fans of Coach K. Ajay and Shiva wanted to evaluate why the Trump Administration would want to make sure that Homeland Security programs covered all the necessary 'aspects' of fortification so that the Duke campus would be a location where pluralistic education would be welcomed and enhanced and therefore completely immune from the emerged threat of anti-civilization terrorist groups (e.g., ISIS, Cobra). Ajay and Shiva were therefore very concerned 'civilization diplomats.' Ajay would blog on the Internet about modernism-relevant issues such as pornography and censorship wearing vigilantism-symbolic 'masks/costumes,' while Shiva would administer his messages about the methodology of war from his mountaintop in Nepal.

AJAY: President Trump certainly cares about American institutions.
SHIVA: Yes, well, he did manage the lavish Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City.
AJAY: I'm sure the Trump Administration celebrates the 'sanctity' of the Duke campus.
SHIVA: The Blue Devils are the new Dallas Cowboys...
AJAY: After 9/11, the world has become 'anxious' about civilization targeting.
SHIVA: American intelligence works closely with diplomats from various nations.
AJAY: The PyeongChang Olympics in 2018 saw a key alliance between the Koreas.
SHIVA: Yes, North Korea and South Korea have been otherwise disagreeing!
AJAY: This 'disagreement' escalated into an incendiary North Korean nuclear-missile test.
SHIVA: That was during Labor Day weekend 2017 --- Trump's first real 'mission.'
AJAY: Homeland Security works to ensure that American locations are safe for traffic.
SHIVA: After 9/11, the world became 'nervous' about commercial traffic optimism!
AJAY: I think Coach K of the Duke Blue Devils appreciates what Homeland Security does.
SHIVA: I think President Trump appreciates what the Blue Devils have offered to society.
AJAY: Perhaps Trump can negotiate with North Korea about education/culture.
SHIVA: Yes, diplomacy is the hallmark of modern imagination!

Ajay and Shiva agreed that Duke was certainly an 'American trophy.' They also agreed that the first Duke Blue Devils championship run in 1991 and their follow-up run in 1992 highlighted the teams' iconic double-force talents, Bobby Hurley (Duke guard) and Christian Laettner (Duke center), who helped the team down powerhouse rivals such as UNLV, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Michigan. Ajay was a big fan of Bobby Hurley, while Shiva was a big fan of Christian Laettner. Ajay and Shiva decided to blog on the Internet about how the Hurley-Laettner combo in NCAAB revealed why new age sports-marketing (and hence television) invested in 'celebrities' who deified/espoused American norms. Ajay and Shiva therefore concluded that the Duke campus was a 'site' of great pride and that Homeland Security would have to ensure Americans that such sites were places of celebration and not terrorism-paranoia.

As Ajay and Shiva completed their Duke blogs and evaluations, they decided to advise the Trump Administration to work more closely with the South Korean consumer electronics company Samsung and the Middle Eastern petroleum-association OPEC to ensure that commerce would fortify traffic and peace in this age of globalization and networking 'intrigue.' Networks and trade would offer optimism in this era of great 'chatter.' Terrorism would not scar humanity's intentions to make lasting 'creativity.' Terrorism would be a malady...not a curse.

CARTER: Yes, Cameron Indoor Stadium is the site of many Blue Devil victories.
TRUMP: Perhaps the PyeongChang games will remind us of the Munich tragedy of '72.
CARTER: Right; when Israeli athletes were killed...
TRUMP: With globalization comes the terrible 'affliction' of hostility.
CARTER: Any great networking achievement is 'paired' with the 'tribulation' of angst.
TRUMP: Duke students appreciate great food and teachers on their lovely campus!
CARTER: Homeland Security must assure Americans that governments care about design.
TRUMP: Maybe sports should be embraced more by both men and women.
CARTER: It's always a challenge to make pluralism more...inspiring!
