Yesterday this one hit me, and while I had never given thought about it before it simply amazed me. Pretty sure I would have answered Florida if ever asked.
I enjoy useless facts. A couple of others of my favorites:
The 2¢ piece of the civil war era was the first of our coins to bear the phrase, "In God We Trust".
It had to be around 40 to 45 years ago that I heard on the Hollywood Squares that the average laundry load consisted of 15 articles. I still count the items I toss from the laundry basket into the washing machine and darn it if isn't right around 15 items.
