Trump hired an attorney (Cohen) to handle "small matters" and made payments to him monthly to allow him to deal with those matters he didn't want to be bothered with...Cohen paid the woman out of those funds and didn't bother trump with the details. Now Giuliani explained it and there's no confusion.

Trump fubared when he tried to leave Cohen out there all along to try to keep some deniability that the payoff wasn't campaign related. If it bothers anyone that Trump paid a pornstar/hooker for sex and then tried to hide it .... they weren't voting for him anyway.

But so long as Cohen was acting as Trump's lawyer in trying negotiate a tawdry, but legal, deal .. Cohen's off the hook, and the DOJ can't touch him on this.

And if Trump violated some campaign finance law in using his own money .... sue him, good luck.

BUT IF THEY MIXED and MATCHED money and bank accounts, they may be worse off. Paying Cohen not to flip is obstruction.

But just when you thought it got Cohen off the hook, remember, under New York law, a lawyer has a duty to tell his client what he did with the clients money.

Ah, so you DON'T have anything to PROVE he didn't know the specifics. The information could have been in a spreadsheet report that Trump didn't read. I don't know and honestly don't care. I've always said that the Democrats were wasting time and resources on all this crap and should have been focused on talking about things that affected real Americans and their lives.
