Dems Registering the Dead?

Its not a "voting irregularity" to buy a list of addresses that include some deceased people. Private companies send dead people crap in the mail all the time.

Romney camp asks Va. to probe voter forms

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign is asking Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to launch an investigation into voter-registration forms that are being sent to Virginia residents and addressed to deceased relatives, children, family pets and others ineligible to vote.

The errant mailings from the Washington-based nonprofit group Voter Participation Center have befuddled many Virginia residents, leading to hundreds of complaints.

The organization has been mass-mailing the forms — pre-populated with key information such as names and addresses — to primarily Democratic-leaning voting blocs such as young adults, unmarried women, African-Americans and Latinos.

In a letter to Cuccinelli's office and the State Board of Elections, Kathryn Bieber, an attorney for the Romney campaign, calls for an investigation into the matter by law-enforcement officials, claiming that the mailings appear to violate "at least one and maybe several Virginia laws aimed at ensuring a fair election."

Bieber refers to the mailings as "tactics that amount to, or at the very least induce, voter registration fraud," and says the issue "presents a very significant risk to the proper administration of the upcoming general election."

Why are these going to primarily Democratic-leaning voting blocs such as young adults, unmarried women, African-Americans and Latinos?

I guess in the past, no one bothered to check whether a potential voter was still alive or even a real person. Illegals need to have a name to match the registration when they show up, so this is the easiest way. I hate to think there is an organized effort to get information to groups of illegal voters so they know which name to use when they show up at the polls.

I am glad that more and more of this is coming to light. I wonder how many dead people voted last time. Perhaps it was comparable to the number of dead people who received stimulus money.

ACORN cannot be trusted considering the number of illegal registrations the workers turned in. It was widespread, not a random few, so one can certainly conclude that the leaders of the community agitator group suggested they do this. Shame they got caught.

Now they say there is no fraud and no need to address the problem. I beg to differ, and so do all those fake registrations and dead voters.

The only thing ACORN did was to unwittingly provide incentives to their low wage workers to sign up "Mickey Mouse". Don't worry - "Mickey Mouse" didn't actually show up to vote (is this not really obvious?).

And sorry, but an organization that sends out mass mailings to encourage registration is under no obligation to vet every single addressee. Private businesses send junk mail to dead people by accident all the time - it may surprise you to know this, but when someone dies, a letter isn't automatically sent out to every single one of the potentially thousands of entities that have that person's name on an address list. Heck dead people get offers for credit cards frequently - you don't hear anyone saying that the credit card companies are trying to sign up dead people.

Some of those groups established residency in several battleground states and applied for absentee ballots to be mailed to a house or apartment. Several names at the same address.

It's a lot easier to vote when you never have to show up at the polls.

Let's add as much red tape as possible to the process of voting, why don't we?

Asked for comment on the Romney campaign's letter, the Voter Participation Center issued a statement noting that their forms are official applications, not registration cards.

"Furthermore, they were approved before we sent them out by the State Board of Elections and are the same applications that anyone can access at a local government office or on the internet," the statement read. "Our process is legal and working."

The OP is about a group sending registration forms to people so they could register. Obviously the election commission won't have a list of unregistered people who need to register, moron. So what the fuck is it you're babbling about? Your mom?

I just want to make sure I have you right on record as saying that voter registration drives should only send registration forms to registered voters? Is that what you are saying? Because it sure sounds the fuck like that's what you're saying.

It may surprise you to know that when a mailing list is sold to a group trying to do mass mailings, sometimes people die, even after its sold. Its sad, but it happens. Death. I'm sorry you had to learn about it from me.

This organization sent out forms to anyone who completed a change of address.

What do people do when a loved one, who lived alone, dies? They put in a change of address for their mail.

Did the pets complete a change of address form, too??
