What do you mean birtherim takes a strange turn? The shit was conceived on a strange turn. Which, according to the radical right to which birtherism belongs, means it gained its personhood on that very day. At this point, the few who remain birthers are such idiots that it defies understanding, explanation, and even most mental illnesses. This "strange" turn is more like setting a stray ship straight. Finally, there's something straight forward, comprehensible, and explicit to bitherism. At least, there is in this case, as it's revealed to be plain old racism and nothing more, at least for this guy.
