And for them to say they have already rendered their verdict before the trial begins is obviously unethical. i realy do hope we have a trial !! i want to see Schiff ,Biden and others on the stand .....Justice Roberts will put in place the federal rules of evidence and then rule on each piece the democrats wish to add. As each of their articles are torn to shreds and hearsay evidence discharged there will be nothing left to vote on. The Senate will vote to Acquit as there is no evidence of a crime as determined by the Constitution. It will be a stunning loss for democrats as they will never get to the point of calling any witness.they've both implied that the possible impeachment of Trump by the House is such a sham that it would be irresponsible to even have a serious trial in the Senate based on such an obvious bogus set of charges that are so partisan and political, that they would vote on impeachment put an end to this so called sham quickly if the House votes to impeach .....but will they ?? if that were to happen it would give fodder to the lying left and their left wing media comrades to say that Republicans are afraid of calling witnesses and having a trial ??? that they are covering for Trump ?? is that what the left wants ?? do dems really want Biden, Schiff, the whistle blower and others to be put under oath especially with the Durham investigation advancing into a criminal investigation ?? will the dems fall for the possible faint that the republicans in the Senate will shut impeachment down quickly ??? and is that what McConnell and Graham are hoping ??? and when and if the dems in the House do impeach the president they will not vote Quickly in the senate to put and end to it !! instead to the horror of the left the republican controlled Senate will indeed have a full trial and subpoena witnesses under oath and absolutely destroy the lefts credibility !! and i wouldnt be surprised if its Trump thats the master mind of this plan !! hes played the dems and the media like a fiddle for yrs ....are Trump and republican leaders secretly hoping the House votes to impeach ???
Justice Roberts has two potential avenues. One; Roberts can do summary judgment and send the impeachment letter back to the house to revisit and provide crimes. OR Two; Roberts can hand it to the Senate and have them vote to acquit on grounds of insufficient evidence of a crime. Either scenario would be a massive slap in the face to democrats..
Add to that, according to Alan Dershowitz, that when the USSC took the Trump tax records case that obliterated the dems Article-2 for impeachment. That clearly showed the House that their subpoenas can be litrigated and do NOT have to be obeyed by the president. Nancy is just plain wrong when she called Trump's taking the House subpoenas to court "obstruction".
Here's hoping that Justice Roberts throws the impeachment case out without a trial.
That would be just too cool, and one for the history books.

Americans are SICK & TIRED of the 3+ years of non-stop partisan illegal investigations (one of the things for which the Obama administration was famous for), FISA Court Abuses, evidence manipulation, crimes, sedition, treason, dividing the country - at tax payer expense - and hijacking of House for 1-Party political benefit, and the disastrous show-trials that backfired (again) on the Democrats again.
The American people are not as stupid as Jonathon Gruber and corrupt criminal Democrats proved their snowflake supporters are - the American people saw for themselves during Schiff's and Nadler's failed House coup attempts how after 3+ years Democrats still have no crime, no evidence, and no witnesses. The American people have seen in repeated released US IG reports, and subsequent Democrat Indictment recommendations...and a still-pending DOJ criminal investigation conclusion...that the Democrats have hijacked and divided this nation for party benefit. they don't need snowflake or faux news Liberal Progressive Socialist Democrat translations. The growing backlash by citizens and its party members jumping ship are proof.
McConnell and Graham know - as wee all do - little more needs to be proven. A mountain of evidence against the Democrats already exists. There is little more a Senate investigation could show than what has already been exposed by the US IG, the Democrats themselves, and what Durham will further expose.
Dragging the proven corrupt, seditious, compromised, criminal Democrats - Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Biden - and their family members...or attempting to - before the Senate, subpoenaing them to testify will accomplish nothing. You KNOW they will never agree to appear and testify before the Senate (what is that the hypocrite Democrats accused the President of: 'He would testify if he had nothing to hide', 'By refusing to testify he is Obstructing Justice', 'He must be GUILTY and has to PROVE his innocence by testifying). It would be another 'show trail'....
But WHAT a 'show-trial'! IF the Senate could get Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, the Bidens, Schiff's Russian-born Arms Dealer benefactor or his Burisma 'fund raisers', etc...to appear and testify it would be the REAL TRIAL...which is why you will never see them.
Polls are beginning to show that a majority of Americans want an end to the Democrats' BS that's been going on for close to 4 years...while a growing number want to see exposed / responsible Democrats held accountable...PUBLICLY.
If Senate Republicans go down that road they risk being seen as no better than the Democrats who have held this nation hostage using our govt as a political weapon.
If you could guarantee me Schiff, Nadler, the Bidens, etc... would testify / face the GOP-majority Senate's questioning I would be inclined to say 'Go for it' '. As 'they' say, "What's good for the goose..." It, however, will never happen.....Democrats refuse to alow the same 'justice' they seek to IMPOSE on others apply to them.
That being said, although I do not particularly like trusting the DOJ to enforce the law equally ... because under Obama and the Democrats it never worked because, being the law, they protected themselves..... I think it best to allow Durham and Barr handle the judicial / prosecutorial piece and have McConnell, Graham, and the Senate quickly dismiss this 3+ year-old partisan witch hunt quickly, as an adult swatting down a fly.
McConnell and Graham should lead the Senate GOP in proving they are more professional and more concerned with focusing on working for the country instead of solely for party, not emotional temper tantrum-throwing partisan children like the Democrats.
