In the PAST laws were enacted. Those times are over. None of us whites on these boards enacted anything. We had no control ofer past injustices. No, these laws and polici3s are not still in existence. And when any white mentions any example of black racism, you dismiss it. First of all, "Gang up on Essien"? He's been the only defender here of the "Blacks can't be racist" ideal for the last four days. There has simply been no one else from your camp to debate with.
Secondly, there is nothing any white person can say or do to make a black person hate white people or vice versa. Anger and outrage are natural responses to certain rhetoric or actions but hate is always a personal choice. And hate against an entire race for the words and actions of a few is just taking that choice one step further.
Thirdly, you yourself don't even agree with what he says about black/white friendships. You just said in the first paragraph of this post that you have white friends (albeit ones you occasionally want to part from their teeth) while he's been saying that whites don't have black friends and that those friendships that do exist are "tacky", whatever that means in this context. So one wonders why you are not disagreeing with him.

First, let's answer your question: Blacks have never enacted laws or policy to purposefully deny whites of opportunity. Now that we have that out of the way, there are no more laws or policies to deny blacks of opportunity. In fact, we now have a number of laws and policies such as the Civil Rights Act, Equality Act and Affirmative Action that specifically grant them equal rights and equal protection under the law and provide for legal penalties for violating them.
