Russia did tell the whole world 20 years ago that if Ukraine went with NATO that they would invade Ukraine. Son of a gun, Ukraine went straight to NATO as soon as Zelenski was elected, and Russia invaded Ukraine. We could have taken their word for it.

Russia was out to dismember Ukraine no matter what. That's reality. They were already invading Ukraine well before any NATO talk.
Your claims are just flat out wrong. You're giving us a version of history that's like "Hitler wouldn't have invaded Poland if Britain and France hadn't allied with them.
