You're all lost.

It was well put. I think one of the greatest cold opens in recent TV (on a premier episode) was when Will Mcavoy on The Newsroom was in a forum and he talked about why America isn’t the greatest country on earth any longer. One of the things that made it such an iconic piece of TV in this century was that he hit both sides. I wish you would have given poingnant examples and I fear your thead may be closed because you didn’t. Anyway...FWIW...good job.
Deplorables have less concern for your cities. Really! Deplorables are trying to survive like anyone else. You have the disenfranchised of the past, the crazies, the radical ideologists running your areas. Only foolish corporate interests should remain there. Greatness moves regionally on the planet. And the redder areas are going to get their due as you jettison your own wealth. Sadly, as many of you move there the infection will spread. Thus, the future is somewhat dimmer if the same craziness manifests itself to these areas.

Lost where or how or why, you are doing what you say others do. Tell us why you are not lost. Tell us in a manner that is not finger pointing at the other. I'm sure you are the same but convince us you ain't.

You don't actually care about being accurate, realistic. You care about your side winning. Those are not the same thing, and you've never once stopped to notice the difference.

You will defend a lie if it came from your camp. You will attack a truth if it came from theirs. You've outsourced your reasoning to your identity and called it conviction. You haven't had an original thought about reality in your entire life, just reactions, just reflexes, just the primate satisfaction of seeing the enemy hurt.

The uncomfortable fact is that most people don't have beliefs. They have loyalties dressed up as beliefs. Epistemology cosplay. You couldn't tell me how you know what you know, because you don't know; you were told, and it felt right because everyone around you nodded.

And the anger. As if the intensity of your feelings is evidence of your correctness. As if volume is argument. You're not passionate about truth; you're addicted to the war. Truth would actually end it. You don't want it to end. The genuinely reality-oriented person is nearly extinct in public discourse. What's left is two mirror-image tribes, each convinced they're the rational ones, each using reason as a weapon rather than a compass, pointing it outward, never inward.

It's not a political problem. It's not even a cultural problem. It's a cognitive failure. And the worst part?

Most of you are proud of it.

Disgusting.

And that is why humans can't do commie. Humans are too fucked up to do commie.

You're an anomaly like I'm a cantaloupe. I can't see why anyone would read past your first sentence. BTW, about my other post that was deleted - I consider it validation. I'm pretty good with profiles I guess.

To pretend that politics was ever "righteous" is what is mind boggling. Politics is mankind at his worst, battling for money and power with reckless abandon. You imply that society no longer cares about the truth, while ignoring the fact that they have always voted for liars since the dawn of time. In fact, we seem to not just put up with liars in power, we demand them.

Well guess what, one man came to earth who had all the answers, and cared only about the truth, and they nailed him on a cross. In the interim, enjoy the circus of clowns that runs around pretending to have all the answers he did and believe that they care more for us than he does.

Are you really focused on the truth though? My guess is that you are just pissed about the Iranian war, which prompted this post. Am I right? Trump may not be taking the best approach with the Iranian regime, but at least he understands that Iran has been the largest sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East, funding groups like Hamas and Hezbollah and the Hooties since their revolution in 1979. How it got to this point is not his fault, but at least he understands that a government that murders 30,000 of its own citizens who protest will have no problem developing WMD's to destroy the entire world if given a chance and cannot be reformed. That's right, despite all men being liars, some regimes are simply worse than others, but I'm sure you think that the US is worse or just as bad as the Iranian regime.

Am I right?

The problem is that too few people care about anything but their own agenda. They don't care about the facts or the truth about really much of anything.

Feel free to try to change my mind about that.
Luv ya chuz, but facts are NOT in the eye of the beholder. Excuses are.

Do the right thing and the consequences be damned!!!

Politics is a blood sport. People gotta tuffen up!!! You are of course correct about the Carter War from 1979. Another Democrat war!!!

You've never seen me defend the Iranian theorcracy, nor will you. No, you're not right. This post was just me putting everybody on blast.

Do I always know the truth? Nah. Do I always try to find it regardless of what I want to be true? Yes. Does that make me special? Not really. I think I'm honest though, which is unfortunately unusual enough in politics to be frustrating sometimes.

Very well articulated!

Well, that is good to hear.

If you think partisanship is bad in the US, look at how the state controls people in Iran. These women literally are giving their babies to their Supreme leader and anything else they may have, with no questions asked.

Politics is nothing more than the world's largest mass cult around the world, with Iran perhaps being the most dangerous of the cults, along with the Left that defends them any chance they get.
