that still is not the definition of "surrender". We are NOT turning anything over to an enemy. THAT is what the word surrender means. Quit misusing it.

We are going to leave sometime....do you think that they won't be able to figure out that we're gone when we do?

Maineman is right, the easiest way for us to leave is to set a date for a complete handover to the legitimate government of Iraq, wether you like it or not.

do you honestly think that our remaining in Iraq will magically cause sunnis and shiites to stop hating each other? If we left Iraq today, we wouldn't fly planes into buildings and kill innnocent civilians. The carnage that will happen in Iraq if we leave today is no different than the carnage that will happen when we leave Iraq eventually. The only difference is the body count we rack up by delaying.

Cant say i disagree. I am not sure when i want us too leave, but i am definently getting fed up. Do the iraqis, expect me to wait forever, while they are more impotent, then a guy in a viagra commerical!.

I really dont like saying this, but im starting to think either a public or private timetable needs to happen. Because, If we are there, past 24 months from today, I will be very very angry. Im tired of our soldiers being used as target practice, im tired of them being blown up, cause they werent given armed cars. This has nothing to do with my politics or your politics. When an american soldies dies, does it really matters, if your a democrat, or a republican?. does it?. You either do everything it takes to win a war, or you GET OUT. besides do you know what the defintion of insanity it , doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting the same result. No one on this board can tell me or any conservative that im evil or wrong, for supporting our president. My party betrayed the principles it was founded on, smaller government, and abandoned me as a conservative, that doesnt mean conservatism is wrong. But reality is, what the hell are we doing there?. and if it isnt for a good reason, Then you know what, **** you iraq, america is more important, then any other country on earth.
