Reich Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda Karoline Leavitt, 28 years old, is on maternity leave with her 60 year old husband, so Little Marco Rubio stood in today for a White House press briefing.

The difference was incredible. The man is erudite, concise, and very well informed. He has all the qualities I admired when he ran for president in 2016. He does not prevaricate, evade, or insult. He does not wear a sacrilegious cross around his neck. He does not answer questions by misdirecting to entirely unrelated issues or attacks.

I was sorely disappointed, and still am, that the man bowed down before the "demonic force" (Tucker Carlson's apt description) and is serving the most corrupt, incompetent, and disastrous administration in US history.

However, I would NOT be disappointed if Rubio was our next president.

Rubio charmed the media, and his eloquence and actual knowledge were a stark contrast to that of his boss.

Of course, I have a few disagreements with some of the spin he put on the war in Iran. But he's not about to piss off the boss.

One of the saddest moments was when Rubio claimed this administration cares about the people of Iran and that they are doing the people a favor.

That's exactly what our government said about the people of Iraq when we invaded their country. How'd that work out for them?

I'm sure the people of Iran aren't buying that bullshit. The Revolutionary Guard are going to make their lives even harder.

Rubio also claimed we were doing the world a favor, and then schizophrenically mentioned how much better off we are from the fallout of the war than the rest of the world.

No thanks. Little Marco is almost a sad caricature of a Kirk Cameron character without the mediocre writing.

Rubio is awesome.

I hope he gets the nomination in ‘28 over Vance.

As I posted here 10 years ago, Rubio was my initial choice for President until Donald Trump blew away all 15 GOP candidates including Marco. The most interesting thing I heard is that the US is arming the Iranian people which is what I have been calling for. The Iranian people who despise the IRGC with all of their being is your "boots on the ground" force. They will root out and kill every IRGC rat who hasn't fled the country, but they must be armed sufficiently to do it.

Nope. You will just end up with a military coup and an IRGC strongman as the leader of Iran.

Then Trump will fall in love with him. Because Trump loves strongmen. Really, really loves them.

This speaks volumes about the kind of person you are and you're warped thought processes.
Swarmy bullshit from a committed Leftist.

Trump never got more than a third of the GOP primary votes in 2016. The problem is that there were too many other candidates. 18 of them. Most were in it as a vanity project and I blame those assholes for Trump's success.

However, any one of them would have been a far, far, far superior president than Trump.

My first choice was John Kasich. He was the architect of the federal balanced budget in the 1990s. He then went on as governor of Ohio to take that state's budget from a deficit to a surplus.

The federal debt has always been my number one priority and the only actual existential threat to our democracy.

Rubio was my second choice. He caught my attention with a white paper he wrote about the corporate tax code.

Thank goodness for the Internet Archive. That white paper is here: http://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/...?File_id=2d839ff1-f995-427a-86e9-267365609942

Not that Rubio would succeed in his plan he outlines there. Deven Nunes tried and failed. But as President, Rubio just might succeed in reforming the tax code the right way.

And the right way is to eliminate or ban tax expenditures. That's was Nunes's plan, and that is Rubio's plan.

Gross. I havent cared for him since the days when he was circle jerking with mccain over amnesty.

Kasich was my first choice at that time too.
But then I learned more about him, including his lack of courage for not even showing up at the GOP Convention in Cleveland in 2016 and I have a real personal axe to grind with him too regarding a former employer that I won't go into.
Now I think he's a phony dick who ran to CNN to complain and whine about Trump. I know people who know him personally and not one of them likes him. He's an arrogant jackass.

If Rubio gave a damn about something other then launchimg himself into a viable presidential candidate in 2028, he wouldn't be involved in the most corrupt, incompetent & disasterous administration in U.S. history.

He may talk a good game but he'll never live down his involvement with Trump. Nor should he. We're not even 2 years into this catasrophe which is Trump & it's going to get worse. A lot worse. How Rubio can possibly explain it away when the campaign begins is beyond me. But that's his problem.

it is hard to fathom how we could go wrong with either.

Or Desantis, though not sure that he is going to run.

All is well.
