You Just Might Be a Gun Nut ...

....if you ever seriously thought about dabbing a little Hoppe's #9 on your neck before going out on a date.

....if you buy some checkering tools, checker all your gun stocks, and then start on the bedposts.

....if you cannot recall how many firearms you own.

....if you buy a gun that's just like that other gun you have except the barrel is 1/2" shorter (or longer).

....if you buy a gun at a shop only to find out you used to own it a couple of years ago.

....if you know 12 different names for one caliber of cartridge.

....if you ever clean a gun that hasn't been shot in the week since you cleaned it last.

....if you consider naming your unborn child Winchester or Remington.

....if your drive to work is filled with reverie about why Ed's Red actually works.

....if you ever bought ammo in a caliber for which you have no gun, because you thought some day you MIGHT get a gun in that caliber.

....if you drive 300 miles just to ogle (and fire) HK-MP5s (and Stens, Uzis, BMGs and whatever else shows up at Knob Creek).

....if you keep a loaded gun hidden in every room in the house, including the bathroom and kitchen, "just in case," and then keep one on you at all times just in case someone breaks in while you're in the hallway.

....if you consider it unpatriotic not to own at least one .45 and one .22.

....if you named your pocket pistol "Little Guy" and your 12 gauge "Big Jake."

This shit went on forever.
But this is like the stuff Jeff Foxworthy does.

I never owned a gun because when I took trap shooting in junior high, the noise hurt my ears. But to support my pals who are gun enthusiasts in the NRA, I bought a gun to keep down the snake population on my small farm and its small man-made lake. I've seen 3 types of poisonous snakes--water moccasins, copperheads, and once, a pair of Eastern Coral snakes. I still haven't used a gun, but my Vietnam Vet friend took care of a couple of moccasins and several copperheads. A copperhead bit Miss Songie a few months before she had her pups, and he went searching for copperheads on the fence line south. I didn't hear anything and didn't get a report, but I haven't seen any snakes since then. Hopefully, they will stay in the woods where nobody goes. I found an 8-inch hairy big fat yellow and black spider back there one time. It scared he bejammers outta me, so I haven't been back there since then. There seem to be two seasonal creeks, one on each side of my small acreage, and the creature was on the northeast side. Right next to one of the creeks. It taught me to never take the Kubota back there again, because when it's wet, the ground is unstable, and my tractor almost got sucked down in there. Fortunately, it was a treed area, and I was able to back out ok. That spider scared me good. He lit down, but it was on the left side of the tractor, so I never went back there. I wish I had taken a picture next to a one-foot ruler, because spiders aren't supposed to be that large around here. I think I've been back there in spring time to see the wildflower show, all of 3 or 4 times in 12 years I've been here. Time to take my antibiotics for round 2 with my cough. The doctor told me my blood test showed I've never had covid, and I've been wearing a mask throughout all this time while I was frequently coughing. It was going around in the schools, and I had schoolchildren over one day, and 2 of them had the cough. I was coughing the next day. It is contagious without a waiting period to show up. And it's stubborn when your doctor gives you antibiotics, and it almost but not quite got rid of the cough, but in a few days it got worse, so it was back to the doctor. She's so overworked right now it's hard to get an appointment even for a week later. Have a great evening, my dear friends at coffee shop. Prayers up for your good health and happiness now and always. ♥️

Air rifles are suitable for varmints, snakes that crawl, and the two-legged kind. No noise and no recoil.I have a coachwhip snake living under my house. They get 8 ft long and are nasty but we leave each other alone and he keeps all other creatures away.

These Democrats are winning on quite small percentages. This does not bode will for the Democrat party in the near future.

As long as he's not poisonous.
I've killed 99% of snakes with a shovel. Yeah. Pang head, cut head off. I smashed a Diamondback's head sideways before.
No time for pellet guns with snakes for me, I default to el shovelo. El Shovelo works!

For years we hunted them with a 12 gauge and a rope with a loop and long enough to catch them and all was good till my friend got some venom in a cut on his hand. Next day he killed all his sidewingers and rattlers with a pin to the brain to get a perfect skin. You can bleed them of their venom too but what it comes down to is a good snake is a dead snake and dead at least a day and a half.

I have real rifles that recoil less than air guns.

All but 1 or 2 do.

I let my friend shoot one and he cut the top of his eye open with the scope.

You might be a gun nut if you just have to have one of these! I wouldn't mind trying one myself. It is an interesting handgun like a Pepper Box but larger.
