Again: you misunderstand.Once more, California isn't one of those states.
So they can ask, but they better do it walking.
not true the illegal is breaking FEDERAL law not state law so Federal law applies not state law.Once more, California isn't one of those states.
So they can ask, but they better do it walking.
^When I was younger I was stopped and questioned by the police a few times. I looked like the guy they were looking for (up here I look like every other mick). We had a talk, I showed some ID, and off they went. No big deal.
As I said, they can ask, but they better do it walking.Again: you misunderstand.
They may approach. They may ask for identification. They need not be “walking.” What they can do is ask.
That is identifiable probable cause
What they cannot then do is arrest merely because the civilian chooses to decline to answer.
But if the civilian does answer and in the process provides the law enforcement officer or agent with sufficient probable cause, then a detention for an immigration proceeding is permissible.
Keep going.......That is identifiable probable cause
You looked like a reported suspect
Assuming anyone with brown skin is an illegal is not reasonableLooking for illegal aliens in public is reasonable.

OK, WRONG winger. You want the cops to go after us nasty Whites because 99.9% of the invaders are Hispanic. Witness--the perpetrator is a black guy, go get him. Cop-----we will stop every White guy we see until we get that Black guy. Dumb ass! What a disgrace this country has become
Land of the free? My ass
Detain anyone who looks Hispanic or dares to speak Spanish

U.S. Army Veteran and Citizen Wrongfully Detained in ICE Raid
George Retes, a 25-year-old U.S. Army veteran and citizen, was wrongfully detained for three days by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during a chaotic immigration raid at a Southern California farm last week.www.family-compassion.org

And you were wrong walking isn’t required. As I said, they can ask, but they better do it walking.
Wrong. Here we see another white, entitled, and incompetent person making an opinion with no facts. The majority of illegals are illegal overstays who have come here and are not Hispanics. The most famous visa overstay is Elon Musk. But he was able to get away with it and became a citizen because he's white. So instead of repeating Stormfront, learn that there actually might be more white illegal overstays than Hispanic illegals. Furthermore, there are over 40 countries, mostly white, that can come here without visas and visit. So if we use common sense, we don't just target Hispanics. But if we use white, entitled, and incompetent logic, that's all we target.78% of illegals are Hispanic. Maybe its time we use common sense when we do something. I suppose you agree we should look at old grandmas in line at airports instead of people that fit the description of terrorists because we don't want to look prejudiced. Let sanity rule again.
Actually, that’s right. If a law enforcement officer or agent briefly detains you to ask you anything (say in California), then (unless that law enforcement office or agent already has probable cause) the individual stopped may indeed simply “walk away.”Just walk away Renee.
I do bother reading, you idiot. But I don’t spend my waking moments wondering what you might have said in some thread or post which I haven’t seen. That’s why I asked you for a link, in the first place, stupid. If you don't bother reading, you should ask nicer for links already posted.
