So this is all a Long, Strange Trip.

And this is all done without going to Congress or our Allies, except of course our "Greatest Ally"

Well apparently he did talk to 4 members of congress, I know thats probably the minimum but it wasnt illegal. As I understand it Congress has 60 days after the start of a military action to authorize or extend the action..

Honestly I understand why Trump would not go before all of congress and give them a vote on this. WIthout the element of surpise it wouldnt even have been worth doing. Taking out their top leadership and catching their naval vessels and airforce off guard was everything. If this truely turns out to be a very short conflict, THAT will be the reason why.

Had Trump gone before the Democrats, this would have been leaked in no time.

True and I think in a normal situation that might be correct. But in this case it was not really a conventional war.. we are not really going to war against the Iranian people, we actually do want them to be able to rise up and save themselves. What we were really doing was going after the Leadership of a country... something that has never been done before.

So IT was not a fair fight, we hit them before all their Mullahs could be transfered to hidden bunkers, but the way I see it, enemies of our country including jihadists etc.. have used our open society and our own rules of fair play against us forever.. knowing always what we will do before we do it. Half the time all they need to do is watch one of our news channels for information.
This was kinda new.

Now I guess what it really comes down to was .... was Iran a threat to us.. or/and the world?
