I'm a Trump supporter. However, Trump is obviously not as smart as he thinks he is, otherwise he wouldn't keep alienating voters he needs to win in 2020.
1. His attacks on John McCain do nothing but alienate voters, especially ex-military
2. His tax cuts for the top rate get 83% of the benefit while the Debt grows potentially reducing entitlements, he needs to work with the democrats to balance the FY2020 Budget. Even if it takes a 3% Fed sales tax and raising the top tax rate.
3. He promised infrastructure spending, yet the Budget has no money for it? Cut defense spending.
4. He promised to lower the cost of drugs, especially insulin. WTF?
5. He promised to eliminate the deficit and lower the Debt by growing the economy. That was Kudlow's bullshit, the economy won't do more than 2%-2.5% long term. Where are the fiscally responsible adults?
Trump's approval is about 44%, via RCP, not good enough
FXN poll today showed Biden beating Trump in a landslide 47% to 40% in 2020
Lets take a poll, will Trump start becoming more presidential to win votes, or will his ego keep alienating voters?

Thank you for your post, it was honest, to the point, and well thought out...

Thanks
Before I forget, and take another year away from the forum.
The last time I was on the board I was always arguing with "beachbum bob"
Is he still on under another name? Just curious
(looks like the country is off the dangerous path it was on, at least until 2020)

What "shit" are you afraid of...?If he wins in 2020, he'll owe the Democrats a huge thank you for having completely lost their shit.
If that's what you see, that's what you see. What "shit" are you afraid of...?If he wins in 2020, he'll owe the Democrats a huge thank you for having completely lost their shit.
the green new deal?
affordable health care?
not cutting medicare?
repairing our infrastructure?
stronger in our foreign policy, with strength shared with allies?
Primary season is always filled with pipe dreams imo, and their political opponents defining them as "crazies" and putting fear in to their own supporters about the 'other side'....
It NEVER turns out that way.... at least not with a FUNCTIONING congress and courts. The exception this time with Trump the 'reality show rock star' and his lock steppers in the Republican controlled senate and house for two years, will likely, never, ever, happen again.... God willing!
voting third party would be a good start, IF YOU HAD a chance of winning, which you DON'T, because of the way the States have set up for the WINNER TAKES ALL electors....If that's what you see, that's what you see. What "shit" are you afraid of...?If he wins in 2020, he'll owe the Democrats a huge thank you for having completely lost their shit.

As long as the winner of the state takes all electors, a third part candidate, will get none... the political parties in each state, squashed the competition, before it could even get off the ground.... thus, a wasted vote on your or my part, or anyone's vote for a third party, imo.
you clearly missed my different points in my posts, are you just in the mood for arguing and avoiding them?No one individual's vote is worth any more than mine.voting third party would be a good start, IF YOU HAD a chance of winning, which you DON'T, because of the way the States have set up for the WINNER TAKES ALL electors....If that's what you see, that's what you see. What "shit" are you afraid of...?If he wins in 2020, he'll owe the Democrats a huge thank you for having completely lost their shit.

27% of those 1 single vote of individuals, gave Ralph Nader, their vote, yet Nader did NOT GET one single electoral college vote... not a one....
the system is rigged, by Democrats and Republicans.
Now please tell me WHAT you are afraid of and call Democratic 'shit' that will push voters like you, away???
Only because you are not willing to define your own concerns and just repeat colossal ambiguities of vagueness.I don't expect you to see that, and I'm not trying to change your mind on anything.
The second line of my post was not clear enough? That's an example of my expectation that you would not see what I was talking about.Only because you are not willing to define your own concerns and just repeat colossal ambiguities of vagueness.I don't expect you to see that, and I'm not trying to change your mind on anything.
you know, you listed some very good reasons why nobody in his right mind would ever vote for Trump, right after you said you support Trump? how does that happen? do you really think trump does anything for any other reason than to either make money or to stroke his ego, which means being elected? he is neither republican or democrat...he does not a damn thing about the military, about the economy, about science, about how to not go bankrupt 4 different times...and because spews constant lies, panders to bigots and racists and sexists, that is supposed to be enough to get him elected? how in the wide wide world of sports did this asshole ever get more than a thousand votes?I'm a Trump supporter. However, Trump is obviously not as smart as he thinks he is, otherwise he wouldn't keep alienating voters he needs to win in 2020.

He is already more presidential than you. Try a different attack mode.
You numb skulls are guaranteeing him a Super Majority in 2020.
You may now return to Libphuckistan.
Looks like we finally have a disagreement. Presidents don't bad mouth dead war heroes. (I win the being presidential race.)
Right now Trump is losing to BOTH Biden and Bernie as per a FXN poll. He deserves to be losing for the way he refuses to be more presidential.
The women may kick his ass in 2020 the way they gave the dems the House in 2018 unless he starts being more presidential.
The dems have a few issues to beat Trump over the head with:
1. Attacks on John McCain, there is no excuse (last time it was a gold star family)
2. The GOP tax cuts are exploding the Debt (entitlements will need to be cut if the Budget isn't fixed)
3. Mexico was supposed to pay for the wall
4. He was going to lower drug prices
5. He was going to rebuild infrastructure
If Trump expects my support in 2020 he needs to earn it. He's making the 2020 race a lot closer than it needs to be.
He should win in a landslide against the socialists, but his fucked-up ego may cost him re-election.
more jobs per month for the last 4 years before trump. are you sure you know your facts? sure, trump hasn't screwed up anything except have the largest monthly deficit in history DESPITE a healthy economy, and the GDP growth is about the same, and the jobs created each month are about the same and there has been no real influx of "jobs coming back" or no cessation of "jobs going out." so what are you talking about? that the economy is roughly the same, except for huge ass deficits?you know, you listed some very good reasons why nobody in his right mind would ever vote for Trump, right after you said you support Trump? how does that happen? do you really think trump does anything for any other reason than to either make money or to stroke his ego, which means being elected? he is neither republican or democrat...he does not a damn thing about the military, about the economy, about science, about how to not go bankrupt 4 different times...and because spews constant lies, panders to bigots and racists and sexists, that is supposed to be enough to get him elected? how in the wide wide world of sports did this asshole ever get more than a thousand votes?I'm a Trump supporter. In a one word answer....JOBS. Navarro and Lighthizer are the best reason for his re-election. Trump needs to act the part of president before he loses based on his personality. Trump won in 2016 in spite of never-Trumpers, in spite of the MSM, in spite of Hollywood, in spite of the FBI, DOJ, and deep state investigations, because voters wanted a major change in DC. Obama said that manufacturing jobs are not coming back, Trump is working to bring good jobs back. The economy is Trump's ticket to re-election.
Don't forget that the Fed aggressively raised rates for Trump compared to easy money for Obama.
This is the Labor Participation Rate, total number of people working. It declined under BO and is going up under Trump.
Agree that the Debt is a serious issue, lets see what Nancy and the dems plan to do about it since they need to do the FY2020 Budget.

McCain was suffering from brain cancer and acted just exactly like one would expect someone whose elevator no longer reached the top floor to act!

True, McCain saved Obamacare, and shopped the Steele dossier around.
He was probably bitter from the pain and suffering he endured compared to the life of luxury and privilege Trump lived, and didn't want to give Trump a legislative win.
I still don't know how McCain lost to BO? But that aside, I believe he really hated Trump, and was in-fact a certified never-Trumper
List of Republicans who opposed the 2016 Donald Trump presidential campaign - Wikipedia
That he would not support his parties' nominee in 2016 says it all about John. He'd rather Hillary than support Trump?! Makes no sense.
His saving of Obamacare only makes sense if his brain was not functioning properly.
Its a shame that John will be remembered as a bitter never-Trumper.
