The investigation concludes that Gaetz, Trump’s first pick for attorney general, made payments totalling tens of thousands of dollars to women for sex and drugs across at least 20 separate occasions. The report also states that in 2017 Gaetz paid a 17-year-old girl for sex when he was 35 years old, which would constitute statutory rape under Florida law.

In normal times this might create moral and ethical issues. But that is not really a problem in the exciting modern world.
I read somewhere that Gaetz was being tipped as a future Governer of Florida. I believe that he could do it with the support of Prez Musk.
Is it a pipe dream ?

If the accusations are true, he has simply behaved as pragmatic politicians should--- though he clearly needs a top assistant who can help him be corrupt in a far more clever and long term successful way .

Seems a shame because if he had been adequately motivated he might have been an excellent AG -- an uncaught thief used to catch the ten-a penny bottom of the pile thieves .

Congressional investigators concluded that Gaetz violated multiple state laws related to sexual misconduct while in office, though not federal sex trafficking laws. They also found that Gaetz “knowingly and willfully sought to impede and obstruct” the committee’s work.
