Don’t confuse SS Retirement and SS Disability.

It doesn’t take 7 months to start retirement benefits.

WW
I was told it was for retirement benefits. I am confirming that. I was just told that today.

Prove that the myths are debunked!
You make a claim that Trump wasn't telling the truth... well he has the facts... YOU obviously DON"T!
PLUS dummies like you think that Trump was saying that people over 160 years old were getting payments!
HE didn't say one time that SS payments were being made to people over 160 years! ZERO!
The point he is making is we don't know for sure if these people that died but the SS was not notified!
"It's difficult to know how many people die in the United States without being reported to the Social Security Administration (SSA) because the SSA doesn't track this information. However, the SSA's inspector general found that nearly 19 million people in the Numident database appeared to be over 100 years old and didn't have a recorded death.
Explanation
  • The SSA receives death reports from many sources, including funeral homes, family members, and financial institutions.

  • Deaths that aren't reported to the SSA aren't recorded in the Social Security Death Index (SSDI).

  • The SSA can't pay benefits for the month of a recipient's death.

  • The SSA argued that it wasn't worth the expense to try to clean up information about people who died before electronic records were common.
The SSDI records are released three years after a person's death. Records were initially excluded if the person was under 18 at the time of death or didn't have a Social Security number.
Nope. Him and Elon told us millions of people over 150 years old were collecting social security. You can't spin what yall were claiming on day one. I remember my Republican buddy and nephew both told me about how Elon found millions of people over 150 who were collecting social security. I told them right then "I bet you this turns out to be fake news"

The next day it was debunked and my friend and nephew didn't reply when I texted them whahappened?

Sorry dude, but you're not going to spin this. Like you did when Trump told us to injest detergents. We said drink bleach and you crucified us because we didn't quote him perfectly. YOU may be that dumb but I'm not.

So far Elon hasn't found much waste, fraud and abuse. The only thing he found turned out to be FAKE NEWS. Why is that?

You're being conned dummy. Remember, you used to be anti government. Now you trust the most corrupt government we've had since Bush stole 2000 and lied us into Iraq and caused the great recession. And you defended him too. Member?

Is there some reason you feel a need to jump to the convicted felon's defense everytime someone points out one of his blatant lies?
You're not a paid apologist are you?
Could it be you've been thoroughly indoctrinated into and brainwashed by the MAGAt cult?

You can apply up to 4 months in advance, a long as you don’t wait until the last minute benefits should start on time for most people.

Of course that’s historically.

No telling how long it will take once they start cutting staff.

Why the hysteria. SS isn't going broke. When the Trust Fund is gone in 2035 the program will return to pay-as-you-go and recipients will take a 17 percent hit. Not the end of the world. Also, we don't know what the economy will be in 2035. It might be great if manufacturing has returned. SS may even have excess funds again.

Also, there are other programs, like SNAP, that can make up for the 17 percent reduction in SS bennies if the person qualifies.
Any worker with even a tenth of a brain should be planning for retirement now and SS shouldn't be a part of that plan. If it exists, fine, it will be a bonus for them.

Will Republicans end social security?

No.... they will save it from going broke....

True, but on $25 per hours saving not possible.

If they do, I’m OK with it. Unlike manyI didn’t expect anybody else to care of me. I worked hard, I earn a lot and I invested well. Don’t get me wrong. I’d like my Social Security but it’s just like throw away extra spending money for me.

So you worked at McDonald's for 30 years and didn't plan..... how sad.

For me it's just more money to invest.

No Delldud, I am actually enjoying a very comfortable retirement.
SS is only part of my income now.
"MY" is the operative word here. I paid into SS my entire working life.
I am not comfortable just letting a multiple convicted felon, his African pimp, and a bunch of soulless Republican politicians steal what's mine in order to enrich themselves.

Any of you heard of Venture capital insurance of America?

It wasn't discussed during the elections but does any one doubt SS is going to be put on the chopping block?

No way one usmb Republican will say they like and want to keep SS.

And if they want to at least tell us in 2019 so we can vote on it.

Don't be a dumbass, you morons throw this crap around election cycle

Now is not that. It's not like I'm trying to warn you so you don't vote for them. You already voted for them. Now I'm showing you they are kicking around the idea of cutting social security, medicare and medicaid.

But for now they SWEAR social security and medicare are off the table.
