The problem is, when I guy something at Walmart made in China, I'm not getting screwed. I'm buying a product that provide me some value. If I am paying less for it than if an American made it, then I am getting even more value.

My brother bought one of the last TV's made in the US. It had some kind of glitch he couldn't fix and displayed the channel number in the middle of the screen. He never did get it fixed.

Two problems with strategy of Democrats abandoning their enthusiastic support for the excesses and absurdities of the LBGT-Q-W movement:

1) Those are their only reliable voters, and they will hate to lose them.

2) They would lose them, because the response to dissent from the LGBT-Q-W is always personal attacks rather than logic. That movement watches Democats as much as they watch republicans for any sign of deviation from the dogma, or failure to keep up with the constant changes in the dogma.

3) They would not be trading them for voters who are put off by the LGBT-Q-W movement but otherwise support Democrats. First because those voters will have no reason to trust this sudden change of heart by people who have been screaming at dissenters for years. Second, because they have abandoned other parts of their former base, such as the working class, blacks, and Hispanic citizens in their zeal to flood the country with illegal aliens.

Nobody is "dumping" anything. The term dumping was used to describe what the Japanese were doing in the 1980's selling us products at cost compared to what they sold for in Japan, and we passed a bunch of laws against that.

We only spend 5% of our GDP on national defense. That argument doesn't fly, either.

I just retired. If you think workplace safety has been gutted... I was in construction, we got nothing done because of workplace safety.
