Why would you sign a deal with Iran, and then not release it for five days?

The 1000s of families of dead Revolutionary guardsmen might say otherwise, not to mention the spawn of their deceased leadership.

They're irrelevant to the Iran government. The Ayatollahs are still in charge and nothing has changed for Iran. They'll rebuild and they'll have the money to do it, thanks to Trump.

Trump isn't releasing the terms of the deal, because he got NOTHING, as usual.

According to CBS, Iran says the deal requires Isreal forces to leave Lebanon. This seems crazy to me. I think back to the deal Trump made with the Taliban which required action on the part of Afghanistan even though Afghanistan did not participate in the negotiations. I'd be mighty uncomfortable with our interest being dependent on Netanyahu's behavior.

Bibi has already said he's not a party to this deal, and that Israel is going to KEEP the Lebanese territory they now control.

Bibi has already said he's not a party to this deal, and that Israel is going to KEEP the Lebanese territory they now control.

If CBS' reporting this morning is accurate, which I'm not about to vouch for, then either Iran's perception of the deal is inaccurate or perhaps Trump feels he has the same leverage over Israel as he had with Afghanistan, a non-participant in his deal with the Taliban.

If accurate than Bibi's statement gives warning about the deal's success.

The live updates linked in my post states this:

President Trump told reporters Tuesday he was not happy with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's handling of Israel's "minor war" against Hezbollah in Lebanon, and he voiced frustration that the parallel conflict was complicating his efforts to end the war with Iran.

"I'm not happy with the way Israel has handled themselves with Lebanon and with Hezbollah," Mr. Trump told reporters France, where he is attending a G7 meeting. "They should have been able to do the job faster. It just goes on forever, and when that happens, it throws a negative light on the big deal, and that's the deal with Iran."

Mr. Trump criticized Israeli operations in Lebanon, saying: "You don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody, because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses and they're not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you.'

and also:

While the agreement is between Iran and the U.S., Iran's foreign minister told the diplomats earlier that in Tehran's view, "the two parties to this memorandum of understanding are the United States and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other."

"Trump may release US-Iran deal before Friday, Vance says"

"Donald Trump may decide to release a preliminary deal to end the war with Iran before Friday, US Vice-President JD Vance says, after the US president said the agreement had already been signed."

Why would you do this? Do the people of the US, and the World, not deserve to know? A presidency that claimed to be the most transparent ever, is the least.
Smoke.

Now with mirrors!

I don't think that the Iranians are the ones with the "inaccurate" idea of what this deal is about. I don't think Trump has the first clue.

This isn't even a real peace deal. It's a "Memorandum of Understanding" which is a framework for future negotiations, not the final deal at all. All it really does is extend the cease fire, and get the Straits Open, but it's only for another 60 days.

The appearance of complete desperation on the part of Trump and the Americans could not be plainer. The USA has never looked weaker.

Oh look! Yet another uninformed low-IQ Trump hater has shown up. :laughing0301:
Correct. I cannot abide "haters" of any kind. Critics and low-IQ citizens have a place in society as long as they are informed. But the knob above has no saving attributes what-so-ever. :nono:

Oh, I didn't seem the sort that would require more than "I don't agree" as an answer.
No, you didn't ... and you still don't.
You think I'm dumbass MAGA or something?
Dumbass for certain although I don't see what it has to do with Making America Great Again. You don't like the idea I can tell. :eusa_doh:What do you have against the US?

If the MoU was a truly good deal, Trump would be shouting about it from the rooftops.

But that isn't what is happening. Everything is now on the hush until after the document is signed this Friday.

You can also bet that Trump will leave D.C. for Mar-a-Lardo the second after the MoU is signed.

No probing questions by Kristen Welker et. al. allowed.

Well duhhh, you dumb ******. Is your Google broken or something? Why are you asking a bunch of no-nothings on some obscure internet discussion board, instead of using your head for something besides a hat rack, and looking for the answer yourself?

It's because the formal, in-person signing ceremony was scheduled for Friday in Geneva, Switzerland. Because the agreement is not considered fully finalized and legally binding until this formal event, both sides are keeping the exact text confidential until the ink is dry. That's why President Trump noted to reporters at the G7 summit that the public release would happen "sometime after Friday."

"A central piece of the deal is the simultaneous lifting of the U.S. naval blockade and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had heavily militarized and closed the waterway during the conflict. President Trump indicated that while the deal is set, the Friday timeline allows military forces to clear out naval mines that Iran placed in the shipping lanes. The waterway cannot be safely or fully opened to global commerce until Friday."

"A major reason for holding the official text close to the chest is to manage narrative control and prevent internal fractures from blowing up the deal before Friday. Recently, Iranian state media leaked what President Trump called "fake news"—a 14-point document claiming the U.S. agreed to pay $300 billion in war reparations.

To counter this, U.S. officials have stated that the actual text is a strict, performance-based, 5-point document that offers no immediate cash or sanctions relief until Iran complies with:
  • Dismantling its nuclear program and destroying enriched uranium.
  • Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open and toll-free.
  • Ceasing the funding of regional proxy groups.

The situation on the ground remains incredibly volatile. Israel is not a direct party to these bilateral U.S.-Iran negotiations and has continued military operations targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon. Just hours before the peace deal was announced, an Israeli airstrike hit Beirut, which Trump noted delayed the initial announcements. Keeping the exact text private for a few days gives international mediators (primarily Pakistan and Qatar) a small window to align regional allies and prevent active fighting from torpedoing the agreement before Friday's ceremony.

Once the formal ceremony takes place on Friday, the initial 60-day window for broader, permanent negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program is set to officially begin."

But all this is useless information to you, I suppose. You didn't really want to know the answer to the question, you just wanted to start another tiring thread about how much you hate Trump, right?

And that's what you did, useful idiot. Now go stand in front of a mirror and punch yourself in the face until Friday.
What will Friday’s story be?

Well, for one thing, the deal isn't signed yet.

Uh, they didn't sign anything yet.

Trump would be shouting the details of the "deal" from the mountaintops.
He has. Since the day the bombing started. But you cult refuses to listen. "Iran will not have nuclear weapons"

No, you're a dumbass because you get your panties in a wad over some insignificant little thing Trump said.

Jesus H. Christ, dude. Get a ******* life. :laughing0301:
Who cares whether it's released or not? Iran won't sign it thanks to Netanyahu who is still bombing & still has troops on the ground Lebanon & refusing to withdraw them. Btw, considering Trump went to war with Iran as a favor to Israel how much are they contributing to the $300 billion reparation fund? Or do we get shafted again thanks to Trump & pick up their share?

Now you know why Obama didn't trust Netanyahu as far as he could throw his lousy corrupt ass.

15th post
Will it ever be?
That's not the point. The point was another mentally ill lefty made a post attacking Trump that the deal wasn't being implemented and I had to point out to the idiot that the deal isn't even signed yet so of course it isn't being implented yet.

No.... it was pointed out that the Trump regime won't tell us what is in the MoU until after it is signed this friday.

In other words... Trump's real-estate negotiators (Witkoff/Kushner) were pantsed by the wiley Iranians.
