Israelis denounce Trump’s deal with Iran

JERUSALEM — A “catastrophe.” A “bad deal.” An agreement that “throws a lifeline to the murderous regime in Tehran.”

Among Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s supporters and critics alike, in the press and on social media, the mood was clear as Israelis woke up Monday to news of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran: President Donald Trump’s deal is not one that many in Israel like. Iran, they say, will remain a threat.

The question now is whether Trump’s deal is one that Netanyahu will stomach — or one he will seek to derail. Trump in brief expletive-punctuated interviews Sunday already accused the Israeli leader of jeopardizing the accord.

Bibi's dilemma is how hard to go after killing the agreement. Does he risk US support and continue to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon to the point when Iran backs out?

Cuz let's face it, Netanyahu has his own agenda. Keep Israel at war so he doesn't have to face a re-election vote while the country is not in armed conflict. Does he care about countries around the world with depleted oil stockpiles? No. Does he care about where the price of gas in the US was headed absent a re-opening of the Strait? No. He cares about Bibi. And in that kind of self-serving focus he has something powerful in common with trump.

Long game.

I doubt the Islamic Republic will be around much longer. Either through internal collapse or they won't be able to help themselves keeping the terms of the agreement, and the US will go back and finish it once we recover or ordinance stockpiles.

This pitiful deal was pushed to open the abrahamic accords. They are a loose set of agreements but will eventually be confirmed.
The Abraham Accords didn't address the essential issue in the ME. A two state solution for Palestine. As many things with trump involved they were more marketing less substance.

"...in the press and on social media".......

Sounds official.

Yeah, this is gonna be REALLY interesting to watch.

It wouldn't surprise me if he does something anyway, giving Iran an excuse to back out of whatever this "deal" this is. And it wouldn't surprise me if Iran is anticipating it.

This is the way the Middle East has gone for a long time. One of the reasons we've known not to do this.

Palestine is history. No more of your Hamas buddies indiscriminately killing innocent people, Simp.

The long game is the apoclypse.

And Iran is prophesied to lead the charge.

It is all going as planned, thanks for asking.

Long game is a Constitutional Monarchy under the current Shah pretender to the throne and the deaths of many IRGC thugs.

According to the leftists, and certain anti-Semitic "right wingers" (PUKE!), Trump is Netanyahu's lapdog. In this make-believe scenario, it is not Trump's deal with Iran, it is Israel's deal with Iran.

EVERYONE has their own agenda, you child. I do not care if Israel pounds the dogshit out of Hezbollah. They are free to kill as many muslims as they wish. I will never give a shit about that.

Israel can do what they want to do, and the US will do what it wants to do.
