Zone1 Why was the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Necessary?

Judas never saw Jesus use powers, obviously, so he wasnt a true believer. Even I, as an atheist, would devote my life to Jesus if he displayed his powers to me. No one backstabs the son of a god. There is no upside to that.
You don't believe Judas was present when Jesus fed the five thousand, when he drove demons out, cured ten lepers, or called Lazarus forth from the tomb?

No. What I have had is God helping me to prepare and go forth and give a speech, just as He told Moses to go forth and free the Israelites. Just as Jonas didn't want to go to Nineveh, I didn't want to give a speech. As living in a fish, even for three days, didn't appeal to me, I chose the speech. ;)

My point is that God's presence comes in unexpected ways, just as it did for Moses. God's will has a purpose, sometimes entirely unrecognized, until later. Like with Elijah, God often speaks and His presence is much like a tiny whispering sound.
Your experience is nothing like Moses. God literally spoke to Moses, yet youre claiming the same thing happened to you. Youre being dishoest.

Ive made a speech too and its nerve wracking. These arent divine experiences and its annoying that you would have the gall to present this as evidence.

You are being dishonest and i dont like it.

Incorrect. Try using google to back up your claim.
Whats Google going to tell me about it? That Judas sold out the son of a fucking god who will now send him to burn for eternity in Hell? Does that sound even remotely realistic to you? No one sells out the son of a god, especially when you know the godly wrath that will come your way for doing it. There is no upside to that betrayel.

I dont believe Jesus fed 5,000 people. If he had, Judas wouldnt have sent him to his death.

Then you believe Israel has no God given rights to that land and they committed genocide when first occupying it. Brilliant.

Blither, blather blah.....blah....blah.....blah. Religion is a con and you are mark.

Never happened. No Yeshua, no Judas. Myth book lies again.

Sigh. I am being honest. And it appears you don't like that. So let's be honest about what you dislike.

I dont believe Jesus fed 5,000 people. If he had, Judas wouldnt have sent him to his death.
Yet John's account states that Jesus called out people who then wanted to follow him only because they ate their fill of the loaves.

Then put me on ignore and stop reading my posts. Or, if it is more fun to tell me what's wrong with me, do that. I can always use a good laugh.

Of course you are amusing to read but we enlightened ones know the importance of steering the less able and fortunate whenever possible .

You need awakening , and if not in this life , hopefully the next .

And you, of course, are certain I have never seen the next life...

That you are wrong.

Does the fact that Jesus now has an immortal body of flesh and bones limit his power as God in any way shape or form? If not, why would it ever limit the power of the Father if he too had an immortal body of flesh and bones?
It is not a limitation! The receiving of a body of flesh and bones is part of our progression and part of our becoming more like God. The coupling of spirit with flesh and bones brings more joy and happiness to our souls

Doctrine and Covenants 93:33-34
33 For man is spirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy;
34 And when separated, man cannot receive a fulness of joy.

In many of the Christian churches of the day, it is believed that God the Father does not have a body but is only a spirit being. If this were true, then why was it necessary that Jesus Christ rise from the dead and take on and immortal body of flesh and bones? Why is it necessary that all mankind will be resurrected to have an immortal body throughout all eternity?

Luke 24:36-43
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

Revelation 1:18
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

1 Corinthians 15:53-54
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Why is resurrection so important if God the Father does not have an immortal body as well? Why would Jesus need a resurrected body if perfection is found in God the Father who is a spirit? Why would we all need to resurrect to have an immortal body of flesh and bones? Maybe God the Father himself has an immortal body of flesh and bones as well. We all have a spirit and can say that we are a spirit. But we also have a body. I believe this is the case also with God the Father. After Jesus was resurrected and ascended to heaven to sit on the right hand side of the Father, Paul tells us the following:

Hebrews 1:1-3
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

If Jesus, as an immortal resurrected being with flesh and bones, is the express image of the person of the Father, then wouldn't this imply that the Father too has an immortal body of flesh and bones just as Jesus has? Resurrection seems to be a part of the progression of all to be more perfect like our Lord and Savior and our Father in Heaven. If God the Father does not have an immortal body of flesh and bones, why then was it necessary for the Christ to resurrect and for all mankind to resurrect?

The stupidity is strong in this one.

I believe that if Jesus only does what he has seen the Father do (John 5:19), then Jesus must have seen that the father also took on a body of flesh and bones and is also a resurrected, immortal man with a body of flesh and bones. This is what makes logical sense as to why the Christ and all of us resurrect with immortal bodies of flesh and bones. Why else would Jesus take on an immortal body of flesh and bones if the Father did not do so himself? Latter-day revelation confirms this truth:

Doctrine and Covenants 130:22
22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

Quit gaslighting me. The bible is a black hole as far as Jesus is concerned after he died. No more stories about healing the sick, no more pearls of wisdom or moral lessons for mankind. NOTHING!
What Jesus said
  • "Woman, why are you weeping?": Jesus's first words after the resurrection
  • "Peace be with you": Jesus said this to his disciples

  • "Stop doubting and believe": Jesus said this to his disciples

  • "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved": Jesus taught this to his disciples in Galilee

  • "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me": Jesus told his disciples to make disciples of all nations

  • "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations": Jesus told his disciples to baptize and teach people to obey him
