And this had been organised by the 5th. This seems to be a bizarre act and implicates the National Guard as part of the coup. Why would they be on stand by ? Why would they assume that this was needed ? Why just "pro trump" people ? Why would meadows be privy to this ? Why is Meadows pleading the 5th ?

There aren't real questions regarding the national guard's presence. It is pretty standard operating procedure. What wasn't was that they were pulled back away from the action. There was a lot of flack about how the Guard was used in relation to the BLM protests in DC that summer with accusations their use was "racist" so, as a result, they decided that the National Guard would be kept away from future protests until needed. As a result of the policy shift, there were no Guard members at the Capitol in advance of it being overrun with protestors and by the time they were assembled and ready to move in for a riot, the poop had already hit the fan.

The real question should be to ask why the National Guard was not deployed during all the D.N.C. supported domestic terrorism that had been occurring for months beforehand.
