Where is the evidence they are against family values? If you ignorant believe their abortion legislation is against family values, you are wrong. The teaching of religion in schools etc should not be compulsory for any party nor in any curriculum. As an atheist, my view is teaching r religion is virtually teaching kids lies about a god that has never existed. Leave the children ignorant until they leave school to decide for themselves. Teaching it forcibly is authoritarianism with doubt.

What about the poignant proverbs found in the Bible that instills good character and moral stability. Personally, I feel that atheists get more than their share of exposure in education through areas that are very questionable. Theories, theories and more theories that are assumed to be above reproach ---- when in truth they need competition to keep them in check ----- rather than allowed to run amuck. Yes, I too am against teaching religion in school; however, I am not for eliminating GOD from the classroom so that you and your kids can have free reign without any feelings of guilt. I strongly feel that removing all conversations regarding religion you take away a student's ability to ponder and think for themselves. What is good and why? What is evil and why? Why should one obey his parents, society, authority? Where did life come from? How am I created in the image of GOD? Is there a GOD? Could there have been a GREAT FLOOD? Does GOD work in mysterious ways and what is mysterious? Children educated without any philosophical interaction are not being taught how to think.
