Mussolini, the person that coined the term 'Fascist', created Fascism based on anti-liberalism, anti-socialism, and anti-communism. He used Nationalism to get patriotic Italian veterans to support his cause, and to act as a bunch of thugs to violently suppress his political opposition. Trump's incitement and the Jan. 6 insurrection were typical of Mussolini fascist tactics.
Mussolini was not anti-Semitic, nor racist.
Mussolini wanted a strict class society - everyone's 'place' in life would be determined at birth. The wealthy should be wealthy just for being wealthy, the educated middle class, skilled labor, unskilled labor, and uneducated peasants should remain so. Mussolini's philosophy conflicts with 'The American Dream' - and with individual freedom for any but the wealthiest.
Unfortunately, people associate the term 'Fascist' with the Nazis. Nazis were far beyond 'Fascism' in the original sense of the word.

I don't think most Italians were and are happy about that Mussolini, from whom you say he was not a racist and not an anti-Semite, "loved" so many of them to death.
Abut Nazis I know a lot. But this all what you said here about "conservatives=fascists" has nothing to do with anything what I think. But I am a conservative. A German conservative, like for example our chancellor Angela Merkel is a conservative. Do you call her also "a form of Mussolini fascist"? Or do you call her "Nazi"? Or whatelse do you call her? "Socialist"?

Mussolini wanted to follow the model of ancient Rome, with was very strict class society as you said, but Mussolini did not start out wealthy, and instead believed that by using force, it was justified in taking wealth from others for yourself and others who supported you.
The Romans had nothing against stealing wealth and enslaving others.
And Mussolini originally had a Jewish mistress, so that is why he originally was fairly quiet about being anti Jew.

I was referring to the wave of Trump worshiping American conservatives that have taken over the Republican party, not conservative throughout the world or the traditional American republican conservatives. Sorry for not being more specific.
BTW - Mussolini did not arrest Jews or put them in concentration camps. Many served in his government. It was only after the Italian fascist government fell and the German army took control of parts of Italy that Jews were persecuted.

In 150 years you built an economy which was enriching a few at the expense of the many, by embracing the technologies of the 20th Century - mechanization, mass production, and making heretofore handmade things, like woven textiles.
But the dangerous and brutal conditions in the factories, low wages, and broad abuses of the workers lead to the rise of union movement, to protect workers because government refused to do so. Henry Ford invented the production line, and produced a car so efficiently, that even his own workers could afford to buy one, and American could not only put a car in every American garage, he could export them abroad.
But three years late, the Republicans destroyed the economy they built and the Great Depression was born. Your nation was destroyed by the lack of a social safety net. So Democrats gave Americans a "New Deal". One which rewarded work, not wealth, and created the greatest Middle Class the world has every seen.
Johnson built on the New Deal with his Great Society legislation package of the Civil Rights Act, and the Voters' Rights Act. These bills created the Black Middle Class, and made the US economy a juggernaut. But the growth of the Great Society, coincided with the rise of Harvard Business School management which but the bottom line ahead of all else.
Reagan cobbled together a disparate coalition of disaffected Southern racists, socially conservative evangelical Christians who loathed giving rights to women, gays, and other "sinners", and disaffected poor white people who saw the Democrats giving rights to minorities as costing them jobs. Together, the gave Reagan the mandate to dismantle the New Deal and the Great Society, and here we are today.
Segregation is greater than it was before the Civil Rights Act. Republicans are refusing to allow "urban" and poor voters to be counted.

Henry Ford was a great American and paid his workers double the going rate. It's a shame his memory and his foundation have been destroyed by the Jews for speaking candidly and truthfully about Jews.
