Why teachers don't want the Bible studied in school.

What are you even saying? You're going to put the Bible in the hands of kids and suggest "reading only"? What Book? Exodus? Leviticus? Acts?

You realize that the teaching of reading includes lots of help with comprehension and interpretation, right?
Read and discuss among themselves.

Kids are confused. They need positive guidance and answers. They'll find it in the Bible even if they don't get religious.

I look forward to the sudden emergence of stonings, priest administered abortions, and parents sacrificing their kids. On the positive, more bacon for me!

And this is where the "problem" in my opinion lies - foremost in the USA.

In Europe you have two religious "explanations/teachings" Protestants and Catholics, each with a clear defined approach and standardization for schools - In the USA you have all these diverse cults and sects - who interpret the Bible according to a respective individual preachers interpretation or even beholding an agenda with a political and brainwashing motivation.

The important aspect from my view is - that Protestantism and Catholicism use their standardized Bible to teach and forward Morals taught to be based on the word of God. Ethics is the same version but without claiming that these Morals are written by some God - thus religion instilling FEAR into the Child for not obeying them. Ethics leaves it up to the student if he finds those Morals acceptable or pragmatic.

If I view upon our politicians and elitist across the globe - they obviously don't heed the "word of God" - but factually use it to make their game, with those who live in fear of God.
