Why teachers don't want the Bible studied in school.

My belief based on Intel is that before the end of this year millions of Bibles will be used to wipe ex believer's bottoms , or be used to start bonfires .

Still , they had a good run and ran a 2000 year scam .

Matthew 24:35 Earth and sky will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Jesus! Still going strong! On the other hand, no one remembers what you said yesterday....

It has nothing to do with the so-called separation of church and state as the schools don't represent the state in the sense of making laws. They object because they fear that some students might take the Bible seriously which would upset their worldview, especially regarding the teaching of the ToE. They also fear that a force other than their own would unduly influence the students thinking and behavior. IOW, they see the Bible as a competitor and a threat to their authority. And in fact, it is. :omg:
Everything you just posted is flat out wrong. When will you ever get an education and grow up?

What religion would that be? I am non-religious.
That one. Children shouldn't be exposed to your beliefs on religion--yes, non religion is just as bad as pushing any other religion. The subject of religion or lack thereof should not be breached in public school. Do you understand what the 3 Rs are? Here's a hint--one is not RELIGION.

You are simply re-stating the point I was making.

It is the school boards not the teachers. They don't want the Bible taught because the Bible puts God as our highest authority instead of the government.
Religious teaching in schools funded by the government violates the establishment clause of the first amendment. Decided a long time ago. End of story.

God-fearing people get screened out and are usually not hired unless they conceal who they really are.

Democrats are like cockroaches who only like being with other black, shiny bugs.
Bullshit! Total and complete bullshit. Any school administrator asking anyone about their religion in a job interview would be fired, post haste! It is illegal by any measure.

For instance, if 85% of the school were Christian, there'd be no harm in setting aside one class a week during or after school for a minister to come in and teach Christianity to the christian students much like any other subject;
So teach Mormonism, holy rollers, Koresh Christianity? Eastern Orthodox?

Exactly. Schools are hard-pressed enough to educate children on the basics, the three R's, history, science, etc., much less teach religion. Further, it would be unfair to force Christianity on people who are not Christians!
  • Pledge alliegience to the flag? Yes.
  • Concede the roles and significance of faith and morality? Yes.
One can teach general faith and morality without anything specific to any given faith or no faith at all. Some people are just ethically guided. Bottom line: best not having government, the most corrupt and corruptible force on this planet trying to lecture children on morality.

That is what Sundays are for.
Not any concern of the public schools. If you want your kids educated that way because you can't do the job, put them in a private religious school.

Reading the Bible turns men into pedophiles. How else do you explain all the pastors and priests accused, charged, convicted and sentenced to sex crimes?

Well, separation of church and state doesn't prelude religious education in school, it just precludes the government deciding it. It precludes the government picking what religion you study, or none at all. It would be perfectly possible for schools to have a religious class once a day or every week, etc., so long at it was some outside religious authority teaching the religions elected by and agreed to by the students.

For instance, if 85% of the school were Christian, there'd be no harm in setting aside one class a week during or after school for a minister to come in and teach Christianity to the christian students much like any other subject; what the Separations Clause precludes is for the government itself to be in charge of it, decide or limit it.
Do you know what establishment means? Apparently not. You could not be more wrong.

How would you address a Muslim student or a Jewish student being told that their religion was not valid? Sorry toob, you took a wrong turn somewhere back there and are off in La-la land!
