Why no explosion of plant growth?

With all the co2 in the air one would expect explosive growth of all the flora on earth. Could it be that plants need other nutrients as well, nutrients that are being washed out to sea or depleted from our soils?

Can a smartass layperson ask such questions?

You've missed it?

It only causes floods, drought and fires, don't ask them to explain how; they have consensus

Explosive is a subjective term. Increased levels of atmospheric CO2 has led to increased plant growth.

Did this show up in increased crop yields globally?
Don’t know but pot growers routinely pump in CO2 to increase their yield. I believe they pump it in at 2 to 3 times the present atmospheric level.

Interesting. Then there's this. Increased CO2 might not be so good for some food crops, less nutrition, more susceptible to pests and disease.
