Why low income whites usually vote for Trump

Apparently he has or they wouldn’t support him in ever-increasing numbers.
They vote for Trump because he gives them excuses to hate people. Their large reservoir of hatred is self contempt turned outward.

Your link showed that the primary decider is education level and thus economic interest.

NOw you ignoring your own data so you can attack them personally.

That's kind of shitty. And dumb.

Si'

. . Three months into his second term, President Trump hit the highest approval rating he’s ever had as commander-in-chief — while more Americans say the country is on the right track than at any point since 2004, a new poll found

They vote for Trump for the same reason people buy lottery numbers.

YOUR data showed that they are right, that the current policy has "left them behind".

Trump is willing to try to serve their interests. All you want to do is insult them.

Why are you having trouble understanding that they thus oppose you?

It seems like I hit a raw nerve writing about unemployed and unemployable factory workers voting for Trump.
Nope. Fairly well-off, actually... and your lame response does nothing to counter the valid points raised about why you lost in 2024.

Sounds like he made a number of good points you failed to address.

And there is nothing wrong with factory workers voting for the guy that plans to work for factory jobs.

And it's strange that you think that there is.

You seem to think I am an ideological, partisan Democrat. I am not.

The Democrats lost the white working class because the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the War on Poverty were followed by five years of black ghetto rioting, and more endurable increases in black social pathology.

More recently, Democrat sympathy for the death of George Floyd and the black ghetto riots that followed his death reminded white working class people why they distrust the Democrats on racial issues. I have known too many Negroes I liked to hate the entire race. I have had too many experiences with black criminals to have illusions about the Negro race. No white person, no East Asian, and no Hispanic has ever committed a crime against me.

Immigration benefits those who get their incomes from interest, rent, and dividends at the expense of those who are dependent on pay checks. I like immigrants, I have been in love with a few, but the cost of immigration is one I cannot easily pay.

The Democrat Party I really l really like is the party that exited from the inauguration of Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 to the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963.

Correct. Trump built a platform, two of them around appeal to working class interests.

He certainly appears to be giving it a good faith effort at this time.

The alternative were people like you that openly mock and insult them and any idea of serving their interests.

So, pretty easy call for us.

The loss of factory jobs is an intractable problem. Computer technology increases the relationship between intelligence and income. I am a retired computer programmer. I do reasonably well on mental aptitude tests, but I lack the IQ power to design new computers, new computer languages, and new computer systems.

The loss of factory jobs is an intractable problem......

Maybe. Or maybe policy can make a serious difference in the lives of the white working class.

The difference of a few percentage points in jobs, and/or a few dollars a hour in wages, can make the difference between millions of families being in poverty or working poor. Hell, or middle class.

The votes of the white working class, voting for Trump as opposed to people that are actively hostile to them and their interests, makes complete sense.

The way you attack them for that, is a manifestation of YOUR class bigotry and assholeness.

It is one thing to have a difference of opinion with someone, or even a conflict of interests with them. You don't have to be an asshole about it.
