Why don't you want to tax the rich?

Again, including State taxes they already pay 90% of Tax or whatever.

As dblack suggested just above (I think) add a National property tax. Problem solved. The Poor don't own $5million home(s).

This same topic twice run into ground here for a decade. All Stain do is Repeat 25 yr old talking points that don't work. Only their sock handles change. Disgraceful bunch of lowIQ hacks dont know more than 75 years of tax code written by economist.

You did not answer the question or even addressed it. People run the country and the government is there to help them. Does that mean that there isn't corruption and taking advantage of it? "No", it means that "certain" people IN THE government use it to their advantage. That happens to either/both parties. As such, controls need to be instituted that prevent or restrict the amount of advantage that is taken by those corrupt people.

Nonetheless, there is no nation that can be a nation without some form of government. As such, the idea is to make the government as beneficial to the people as it can be and not just to those presently in power.
The Government is beneficial to those in Government, period, has been for awhile, and needs to change

But no tax except on the expensive homes.

The problem is rents would be extra high if landlords had to pay taxes on non luxury rental property.

Nope. You are obviously ignorant on the topic.
I'm not ignorant. I know what he said. I also know he's the world's biggest liar.
Who pays the tariffs? Are you informed enough to know that?

then explain to me why this graph below shows that the country was at its best when the rich were paying a lot more taxes?

Provide the source link to the graph above so that everyone can understand the source material and inspect it for bias. My review of the above chart and trying to find the exact graph comes from those arguing over income inequality where the commentary is once again claiming that the rich are 'bad' instead of exploring how do we prevent more poverty. We don't create less poverty by taking more from the successful population. You could give $100,000.00 to someone who is financially ignorant or irresponsible, and in 5 years, they will have nothing. Do the opposite to a responsible person who has been educated, trained, and understands how to invest, they will turn it into a $1,000,000.00.

The liberal left has everyone thinking that the wealthy are the problem. They are not. The problem is that poverty begets poverty and we have to stop that cycle through education and teaching what it means to be and HOW to be a productive citizen. If the sub cultures in our country understand that education, skills, training can lead them out of poverty, we will have less poors in our country and more people with much better incomes who will create generational wealth that can be passed on.

Some in this country need to stop bitching about what they don't have, stop being envious of what others do have and have justifiably earned it, and start doing something for themselves instead of trying to point the finger at everyone else for their current situation.

And here are the actual rates for top earners. Keep in mind that many didn't pay those rates due to exemptions, exclusions, loopholes, deductions, etc. Also, I believe many would argue that the economy and wealth grew very well during the 80's too.

Oh, a libertarian. Have you read the article about why a libertarian government can never work? Very interesting.
Someone isa libertarian when they say they are. I never did

There is more than one articel about some say it would work others say it would not

You should be less biased about what you read

I do agree that people, in whatever party is in charge, have taken advantage of being in power. Nonetheless, the reality is that the only way to fix it is by both parties being involved (and compromising) on fixing it to the best it can be (by nature, nothing is ever perfect).

Raising taxes according to one's income is the FAIR way to run a nation, given that a nation is a team and not an individual stage for some people to use it to their advantage.

If you are going to take advantage of the fact you live in the best country in the world, you need to pay/contribute for it according to the benefits you receive from it
No it is not fair

fair is strictly subjective. Raising taxes on the wealthy is not based on fairness it is based on hatred of the wealthy.

A nation is not a team it is a loose association of people with similar lan guage culture and government. The people taking advantage of it are the welfare queens who contribute nothing

They want to open more phony ten million dollar daycare without any back yard fenced playground the dirty evil GOVT Stain.

I live within my means. In fact, I live beneath my means because if freaking frugal and like to pile up money.
I also like to ***** about the rich. I'm under the impression that it doesn't hurt them at all.
It seems to have you all excited.
I too live a very comfortable lifestyle. One that my wife and I have created together. We are not billionaires by any means, and I do not care two shits that Bezos is a billionaire or trillionaire. But you know why you care, because you have bought into the lie that billionaires are bad or evil. I will state that I am not a fan of greed and crony capitalism and anyone who has illegally manipulated the system for gains. But the left and it's pundits have created a narrative that many are buying into, and it appears you included.

That isn't what I responded to. You made the claim that government only benefits those in government. That's not true.

10%-25% Fraud, theft or wasted. Yet you pig butted trough eaters want more funding? $0.5T-$+1.5T per year gone right now. There's the Obiden built-in deficit since 08' nearly $30T since.

Your attempt to change the subject exposes you have been beat, Newb.

You have no basis for claiming that I bought into any lie. I don't care who is a billionaire. My complaint about the rich is them evading taxes.
I don't know of any narrative created by the left, never heard a pundit say what you are claiming they say. I create my own narratives just as you apparently do. (Your narrative about me.)
By the way, I just read a good article at The New Republic opposing a wealth tax. Good reading. It made sense. It's new and should be easy to find. I hope liberals who have advocated for wealth tax will read it and reconsider.

Changing the subject? You mean by asking who pays the tariffs? I just like to throw in the question to annoy Trump supporters who know he's stupid and lying about who pays the tariffs but can't bring themselves to admit the truth. I like to mention his lowering prices several hundred percent also. I'm not sure Trump supporters actually understand he can't do that and no one can. It's a math thing.
