Why don't you want to tax the rich?

I've seen the definition. It doesn't add up. Its just an excuse for those who want the government to control wealth.
Here's of my favorite quotes from Wealth of Nations. Just want to share it, hoping to entice you to read it. It should be noted that Adam Smith considered laborers as the ones who "feed, clothe, and lodge the whole body of the people."

The emphasis with bold font is mine.

Is this improvement in the circumstances of the lower ranks of the people to be regarded as an advantage, or as an inconveniency, to the society? The answer seems at first abundantly plain. Servants, labourers, and workmen of different kinds, make up the far greater part of every great political society. But what improves the circumstances of the greater part, can never be regarded as any inconveniency to the whole. No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable. It is but equity, besides, that they who feed, clothe, and lodge the whole body of the people, should have such a share of the produce of their own labour as to be themselves tolerably well fed, clothed, and lodged.

Then why did you bring up the Constitution?
Because it's there.
I remember mandatory obamacare,
which seems bizarre in retrospect,
was going to be "taxlike".

Oh man.
Where does it end,
How much is enough.

Pelosi wanted jailtime for not "buying in"

I know you have studied this because you need tutorial on regressive taxation.
Once again Simp, you are the one who can't explain how treating everyone the same isn't fair.

You know why? Because you can't. Only a lunatic would think treating everyone the same is unfair.

You cannot provide a meaningful definition of "regressive tax" that correctly applies to a flat tax.
Thus, your claim is false.

Don't try to blame me for your inability to stand and deliver.
I have Newbie pegged as a college freshman just beginning to get his indoctrination. All he can do is spew the commie talking points his profs feed the brainless young.

What I am saying is that our founders envisioned a Congress that can compromise and get things done.
This Congress can’t even avoid a shutdown
The Schumer Shutdown is on him, Simp.

Inflation is down. 2.7%
GDP is up. 4.3$
Wasn't that GDP the 3rd quarter of last year?
All these rates go up and down all the time You're grasping at straws because of your love for Trump.

So does unemployment, but you latched onto that as if you had something, kid.

Wasn't that GDP the 3rd quarter of last year?
Clearly, you do not know.

Now you do.
You're grasping at straws because of your hatred for Trump.

Now, lie to us some more.

Aggressively taxed?

Billionaires pay a lower tax rate than the rest of America's taxpayers, new study finds

Explain how the word "aggressively" can be used with them paying lower tax rates than the rest of Americans?
The article talks about capital gains vs income tax. The very wealthy, leverage the tax codes so that their actual "income" is very little, and a majority of the income and tax breaks come from capital gains taxes against their investment income.

What's funny, is that you, me, and everyone else on this board can take advantage of investing, and use those same tax codes to our advantage.

401Ks are creating more and more millionaires through investing:

Maybe start learning how to save, live within one's means, and invest and you too could stop bitching about the rich.

Who actually dreams this stuff up?

The Founding Fathers understood the limits of men and govenments, having lived in a time when both were less than idealistic.

The Founding Fathers fought tooth and nail for their beliefs, even willing to duel with swords and/or pistols.

The Founding generation believed in limited government, states rights, and a willingness to debate and even fight for their beliefs.

Congresional compromise was a thing of the past century and it was betrayed by the left's refusal to compromise on any single issue.

I live within my means. In fact, I live beneath my means because if freaking frugal and like to pile up money.
I also like to ***** about the rich. I'm under the impression that it doesn't hurt them at all.

Fool's errand? Explain that statement.

One question for you "do you believe that we need to work as a team, in order to have our country healthy for all...............or just for the few that have the ability or opportunity to get rich (**** the rest of Americans)"?
A fools errand as it will accomplish nothing it is trying the same thing over and over expecting different results

What would you consider to be healthy for all and since when is the government the same as the country
