Why don't you want to tax the rich?

The Golden Rule says….He who has the gold, makes the rules

Any way you try to make the wealthy pay more, they will make a rule to stop it
Any way you try to put money in the hands of the poor and working class, the wealthy will find a way to take it
I want everyone to notice the language of the bleeding heart liberal progressive here....

This is classic take from the rich to redistribute to the poor. It has NEVER worked in the history of the world, even when the rich in America were taxed at a 94% tax rate during WWII. Never!

It's a pipe dream.

The only way to life all boats is to open up the ability to make money, expand business, and make millionaires....Which America excels in....

I wonder, if for all the talking points on this that Joe puts out, How much of his personal income/wealth provides the poor directly through charity? I'd bet a big fat goose egg. ;)

OMG. You blame Biden if your coffee gets cold, don't you?
It’s not xiden’s fault you can’t tell us what percentage you think is their fair share

I don't know what the cap should be, but I do know it should be higher than zero.
Now your link is to comp tax rates…which I thought you all said was inflationary recently

You were talking about individuals…so you don’t know what the fair share is, but you keep whining about it and deflecting to corp taxes and cap gains

In other words you are clueless and just like to whine

There was a time when the US acted because it was the right thing to do.
We cared if people were sick, people were dying, people were suffering
We gladly helped the rest of the world through USAID, Peace Corps, Red Cross, humanitarian aid.

But the US now has a mean streak.
We only care about ourselves, fuk the rest of the world. If people are suffering, let them
Especially if they are not white
You seem to think that American citizens are just noble of high-quality DNA. Near everyone puts themselves first. And Progs are at the top of the list. One thing we have is too much corruption. Limited DOGE and Trump's administration is uncovering massive corruption in areas left bare from questions. I would support air strikes on Somalia or get our friends over there to do so to start.

Who said individuals? As usual cult members cherry pick everything.

0% is more than their fair share?
The top 10 percent of all earners pay 72 percent of all income taxes

You think that’s fair?

You think it’s fair that 90 percent of the nation pays just over 25 percent?

And there it is, the obligatory nod to racism, as if that's significant.

When you are deep in debt, you have to get your own finances in order before you can help others with the same level of generosity you did before. When you are sick, you have to take time out to heal before you can return to helping others at the same level you did before. When your car breaks down on the highway, you have to take it out of commission for a while so it can be repaired before you can go back to giving your neighbors and family members rides like you did before.

IOW, how much help can we be when we run out of resources to help others because we did not ensure we have plenty to share?

Weren’t we taking about rhe wealthy? Didn’t you say rhe wealthy don’t pay their fair share?

Corp taxes are inflationary and just paid by the consumer.

If you are opposed, why?

Why do you oppose aggressive taxation of people making more than $250,000+ a year or $400,000+ a year annually?
Because the so-called 1% 'rich' already pay more than 40% of the taxes. And every dollar you collect from the 'rich' is money not available for the rich to expand their businesses, hire more people, put into research and prototypes and salaries and benefits, to fund philanthropy in foundations, museums, hospital wings, the arts etc. It is money that is not in the bank for the less rich to borrow to build their businesses, hire people etc.., to invest in other businesses that helps them grow and thrive.

Tax the rich excessively and they move their profitable business and working capital off shore and that takes away our manufacturing base, jobs, opportunities for others to become rich.

You cannot punish the rich for being rich without hurting the poorer people much more.

They don't pay that.
They also didn't pay 90% after WWII, but that doesn't stop those from demanding that we return to those rates (but not all the deductions, cause reasons).
