Why don’t republicans seem to understand the consequences of tax cuts?

How could tax cuts NOT increase debt?

If you take a voluntary pay cut but spend the same amount of money...what do you suppose your bottom line looks like?

Say the GDP is 100 billion and GDP growth is 3%

That means that the tax base increases by 3%. That means that revenue grows

But if you give a tax cut...that limits the tax base doesn't it....yes it does. Revenue increases LESS than it would have without the tax cut

Some retards will claim that a tax cut will increase economic activity and that will make up for that loss of taxes. It never does. Tax cuts rarely if ever pay for themselves.

The debt increases after every tax cut

Oh, so SPENDING is the problem.

Baby steps, Simp.
INFLATION jackass

Oh I get it...you know that inflation causes spending increases even with no new appropriations.

You just want tax cuts and damn it...you'll cut spending to pay for them.

The funny thing is that this is an old shell game. You wanna cut spending on programs you ideologically don't like ...supposedly to pay for those tax cuts....but there's never enough spending that CAN be cut to pay for them

And the debt grows.

You're happy cause you got your tax cuts...you cut a few bucks from programs you never liked...and meh...so what if the debt grows.

You never really cared about THAT anyway

Inflation was 1.4% when Trump left office, so tell us how that is caused by tax cuts.
Now you're talking in circles. As usual

Did you not understand that inflation causes increased spending?

It was pretty fucking clear...troll

Because spending generally tracks economic growth.....except under supply side hucksters where spending ALWAYS grows faster than the economy...
