I thought the economic downfall was only in his 2nd termNot all the time, no. Check out Houston, for example, for most of that time.
It's not important what term it was. It happened is the point, he was Republicans, and since WWII GoP presidents have recessions, all of them. Trump will be no different.I thought the economic downfall was only in his 2nd term
There’s always an excuse but it always happensIt's not important what term it was. It happened is the point, he was Republicans, and since WWII GoP presidents have recessions, all of them. Trump will be no different.
Well that never happened. It’s always after Carter, Obie, Bidumb. Clinton just got lucky and couldn’t fuck up Reagans economy fast enough. You mean like after Bush and then Trump?

Welcome to backwards worldWell that never happened. It’s always after Carter, Obie, Bidumb. Clinton just got lucky and couldn’t fuck up Reagans economy fast enough.
No, dipshit.Tax cuts cause higher debt
I thought debt was bad?
If spending stays level and you cut taxes… what happens to debt? No, dipshit.
Overspending causes higher debt.
When congress is constantly trying to scheme and steal more and more from us.....it doesn't matter how much they raise taxes, shitforbrains......because they'll never offset their overspending. Giving them more revenue only gives them more money to waste on trips to El Salvador to bring back their wife-beating human-traffickers.
If spending stays level and you cut taxes… what happens to debt?
Yeah it goes up
It’s not complicated
You get a temporary revenue increase followed by a decrease. What happened when they cut the capital gains tax rate?
You get a temporary revenue increase followed by a decrease.
Oh bullshit! The left packs Townhall events with their agitators and then claims that the people are up in arms! The American people voted for what Trump is doing. They know that the Democrats could care less about the Middle Class. They've become the Party of Coastal Elites and Illegal Immigrants. The day to day problems of Middle Class workers doesn't concern them at all. Why? Republicans push tax cuts—particularly tax cuts that favor wealthy people and large corporations. Reagan, George W. Bush, and Trump all embraced this economic approach. It doesn’t work to stimulate the overall economy.
In fact, the U.S. has been victim to an epidemic of economic downturns under Republican presidents in the last four-plus decades.
The GOP’s approach has been to hand out tax cuts to really rich people in the hopes that their savings will “trickle down” to the rest of the economy. But studies have clearly shown that trickle-down economics does not work.
But if Republicans admit this and concede that the Democratic approach of focusing on middle-class needs has worked (as the data shows), they would have to give up on doling out tax cuts and shrinking the government.

Why are Republicans so bad at the economy?
Two key pieces of economic data released in recent days are clear warning signs for the U.S. economy under President Donald Trump. First, the Bureau of Economic Analysis revealed on Wednesday that ...www.dailykos.com
It finally looks like Republican voters are starting to get it, and by the looks of the townhall events, the great tax cut scams are in big trouble. Can't fool all of the people, all of the time.
“Why Are Republicans So Bad At The Economy?”
Because of failed, wrongheaded conservative fiscal dogma.
Reckless, irresponsible tax cuts and deregulation.
Bloated, deficit-causing military spending.
We currently have yet another Republican president destroying yet another Democratic president’s strong economy.
Explain that. Your allegation is only that.Dems only had one good economy in my lifetime and that was Clinton’s. It had nothing to do with his policies. The internet explosion was responsible.
can I explain something to someone who lives in leftist lala land?Explain that. Your allegation is only that.
It's pretty obvious that BOTH 'overspending' and 'tax cuts' contribute to higher debt. No, dipshit.
Overspending causes higher debt.
It's not that we don't support taxes, Winco. We tend to have an issue with how Government wastes the money that we give them. My question for you is, why doesn't the left? It's pretty obvious that BOTH 'overspending' and 'tax cuts' contribute to higher debt.
It's just so hard for you right-wingers to ever support a tax of ANY kind.
Oh wait...... you support ridiculous tariffs, which are indeed a tax on the American consumer.
I can't speak for the 'left'.It's not that we don't support taxes, Winco. We tend to have an issue with how Government wastes the money that we give them. My question for you is, why doesn't the left?
I'm sorry, Winco but raising taxes on the people who risk capital to create businesses WILL harm our economy! I only risk capital if I see a high probability of making a profit. If you take away part of my potential profit by raising the taxes on that profit it's one more reason for me not to risk that capital...one more reason for me to look at other places that don't tax at such a high rate.I can't speak for the 'left'.
But I will agree that there is way too much Government waste.
There is also too much of a wealth gap, and I don't buy into the 'rights' claim that taxing the rich at a higher rate would harm our economy.
