Republicans Seek to Raise the Debt Ceiling by $4T, and extend $4.5T in Tax Cuts

GOP is not about fiscal conservatism then.

Yeah, DOGE give us all a $5K handout.

Because they have to pay for it.
Ah.
You are ignorant of the fact SS and Medicare not not funded, even in part, by federal income tax.
That being the case, federal income tax could be dropped to 0% for everyone, and SS/Medicare would not lose a single $ of funding.

Do your homework, son.

You really are an idiot. They are part of the budget.

Says the guy who does not know SS and Medicare are paid for --entirely-- by payroll taxes and the employer's match.
You know -- your FICA deduction.
Not a single $ comes from federal income tax.
No they are part of the expenditures going out. Johnson's plan specifically paves the way for Medicare and Medicaid reductions.
There is no separate account any more.

Not a single person complaining about tax cuts and federal deficits sends a penny of their tax cut back.
Their complicity makes them as bad as they people they complain about.
Warren Buffet made a big stink about how his secretary pays more in taxes than he did.

Did he write a check to the Treasury? Oh, HELL no.

Why isn't that good news to all Americans? The hypocrite TDS left seems to be against the DOGE effort to trim the cost of government but at the same time they are against raising the debt ceiling.
They support what they're told to support, and they oppose what they're told to suppose.
