I'm not going to go through all the different interpretations of that passage, because again, it doesn't matter anyway. God as the highest and ultimate authority has the right to take ANY life as He sees fit. So basically, you trying to use that passage as a justification is no different than pro-aborts saying "God kills babies through miscarriages" or "God killed millions of people in the flood" as if that is a justification for THEM to kill an innocent preborn baby. It's an invalid argument, for reasons I've already stated.

And if you're not going to address and refute what I've been saying, then I'm sorry but I don't have time to keep repeating myself. I gotta do something now anyway, so....

You've presented an emotional plea on the matter of meat eating, not a scripturally based position, or a reasonable one in any sense. Jesus ate meat. Animal agriculture was and is the foundation of food production and culture worldwide. What more needs to be said?

That is a bald faced lie. I have intentionally backed up everything I've been saying to you scripturally. You're the one who hasn't done that, at best you've just brought up one or two of the usual cherry-picked verses that always come up in these discussions.

And btw, it doesn't matter what "animal agriculture" was like in the past. What matters is how it is now. So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, that you are simply ignorant on this, but to actually claim that factory farms in THIS day and age are in ANY way humane is about as far from the truth as one could possibly get. And flat out disgusting for you to say that, as a Christian.

Well it was obvious that the other one has been trolling. But with Woodnutz, he seemed sincere, and since he's been mostly civil, I assumed he isn't just trolling. He has no argument. He's only trying to "save face " He has his "desires," (not giving up meat eating) so he's willing to TWIST SCRIPTURE and Outright LIE to save face.

Here are the FACTS he cannot refute (you've pointed these out SO MANY TIMES yourself)

1. IN THE BEGINNING God created Man as "vegan." Killing another living being and eating it like an ear of corn never even entered the mind of of Man. Genesis 1:29 God INTENDED something SO VASTLY DIFFERENT from the way we live today.

2. When Jesus Returns, Killing God's creation and consuming His creatures will again be foreign to the mind of Man. That will be after Satan (the God of this world) is removed and no longer able to influence the mind of Man

3. Right now, MANY who profess Christ and claim to be converted are willing to LIE before God and Man to justify their own lusts. They don't seek the TRUTH. They are not honest. I expect it from the world, but I expect better of those who claim to be believers.

I think soon I'll start a thread about the Jerusalem Church -- under the APOSTLES -- who were KNOWN to be VEGAN and DESPISED by the COUNTERFEIT ROMAN GENTILE Church.

^ Same here, exactly. But here's my take on it. I really believe that the body of Christ (Christians worldwide, for anyone who doesn't understand that phrase) has a HUGE collective blindspot, in this area, when it comes to animals.

I actually wrote a blog post about that, a few years ago.

But the good news is, I believe that is changing. I see more and more Christian vegans everyday. So that 'veil' appears to be lifting.

Love it! As one gets older protein is even more crucial for maintaining muscle. Meat is an excellent source.

I'm 83, in very good health, still working a physical job, blood pressure normalized after I stopped taking BP meds, don't care about my cholesterol numbers. I consume lots of animal protein, meat, milk, cheese, eggs, fish, and venison if I luck out.

You can get all the protein you need from a whole food plant based diet

Without meat products other food prices would skyrocket to the point where there would be a militant revolution. Do you want that? The profitability of meat products allows stores to sell other foodstuffs at virtually no profit.

It's just like the drug business. Without hard core addicts there would be no drug business. Weekend users won't feed the bulldog.

Although doctors say that meat is healthy, I do not know anyone who would benefit from meat-eating to be healthy. For example, my neighbor, a meat-eater, has disgusting skin, cellulite, and hardly climbs to the 3rd floor, and she is only 30. Plus she smells like dog.
Maybe she is affected by ptomaine in her intestines? Why can't meat eaters be healthy even though they have a "healthy diet"?

Explain away the killing and eating of the Passover lamb.
Explain away the commanded animal sacrifices, even in Jesus' day.
