I only see one problem: as I understand it, when his conviction goes to the higher court, the higher court will not review or reevaluate any of the evidence in the trial, but they will only be allowed to reconsider procedural errors done by the lower court.

But I sure hope his conviction is thrown out as calling Trump a "convict" and a "felon" is literally the ONLY thing the Left has gotten for satisfaction after eleven years of trying and billions spent by the Left in trying to destroy the guy.

While it is true that (for the most part) appellate courts focus on whether the law (as charged to the jury by the trial judge) was proper, it is still true that appellate courts also consider the evidence. Indeed, they are called upon to act as a “thirteenth” juror.

They elevated an expired misdemeanor to an active felony based solely on the assumption that Trump tried to alter the outcome of the election, something democrats have done 500 times with impunity, despite the fact that he was only settling out of court then because the complainant WAITED until the election to try to charge him!
2. The entire case was based on some other crime that the prosecution never defined, therefore, denying his lawyers the ability to defend against.
3. Trump was refused the presentation of expert witnesses.
4. The prosecution in part based part of its case on the word of a convicted purgerer.
5. Making payments in an out of court settlement isn't a crime.
6. Trump did not make the payments, his lawyer or accountant did.
7. The jury was given contradictory instructions where each juror could disagree on the conviction, make up their own guilt, yet still all find him guilty, not even knowing of what nor all 12 agreeing.

Somewhere in there has to be the grounds to throw any conviction produced from such a trial out.
