Yes, exactly. The only difference between James' case and Trump's was that two separate Grand Juries failed to indict Leticia James. Most likely because the charges against her were just a bogus political revenge witch hunt from Trump's weaponized Justice Department.
Trump on the other hand had a mountain of incriminating evidence for a Grand Jury to charge. His ex attorney and personal "fixer" Michael Cohen had all the receipts and spilled the beans.
So yes, the two cases were similar in that they both involved bank fraud, but they were different in that Trump is guilty and James isn't.
